Since some have been asking how everything's going, and I'm feeling more comfortable in my (rounder) skin now that I'm looking more pregnant than fat (HAHA) I thought I'd share a new bump pic. He's eating big and round and still pretty low. With DD I carried much higher--so high that by now underwire bras were bruising my belly because it was very high and hard right where they hit. Still working out and trying to remember that "eating for two" is not a real thing..lol!!

Wonderful!! How many weeks are you?
You look fantastic :)
I am looking forward to creating a mostly thrifted maternity capsule wardrobe when the time comes!

**EDIT I am such a dope, it says you are 22 weeks in the photos lol

Good morning my wonderful friends :) How are you today?
I've just returned from the clinic for monitoring, all the staff are getting to know me now, which makes sense because I've been there CD5,7,9-13!! It's almost like my body is playing tricks on me  last cycle was super short so they brought me back early & this cycle my body is taking its time ovulating. I don't mind, it's just funny :)
Mini rant - this was the first morning that I encountered very rude women at the clinic. It's first come first serve for labs & ultrasounds between 7:00 and 8:30am. So far everyone has been super courteous - for example: if there is more than one person in the elevator no one rushes ahead of one another. You hear women chatting up the phlebotomists (people that take blood) and saying thank you.
Today I heard two women yelling at the staff that take blood about the wait. I saw another rush into a room for blood work before her name had been called etc. I saw another step in front of someone waiting in line & insist that she be seen first. I understand that many of these women have been through so much in their infertility journey, and I don't want to be judgemental. It must be really hard to be there day after day, month after month. I am sure some of these women have suffered miscarriages, and failed fertility treatments.
The staff there work really hard to create an inviting & calm atmosphere for that reason, at least that's what I think. I try really hard to be kind & friendly when I am there, but I can only really control my own behaviour...
Ok mini rant over.
I'm hoping the nurse calls me & tells me I've ovulated!

Update: they called and said they think I've ovulated and I am to start my prometrium today! woo hoo! they're also having me do a blood test May 3rd for pregnancy. Time to relax & forget until then :) Hoping for a BFP for my birthday :)

Really cute bump Mom!! I'm so excited for you!!

Beth I'm so happy that this cycle seems to be working out better for you! I'm optimistic that this may be the month for you!!

Afm:
My specialist is awesome!! I had an appt today that I had to cancel due to work but I sent her a message through a messaging system that they offer. She responded very promptly and said she will fit me in next Wednesday although she is booked. Also I spoke on switching to Femara next cycle if this one don't take and she said she'll gladly call in a prescription for me and just wanted to inform me that it's a bit more expensive but normally works better for women with pcos (I have it slightly). She said she's pretty confident that what I had was a chemical so she has a few more tests she want to run. I absolutely love her!...Cd8 and looking to O in about 8 days!

Nikki that's great!! What a wonderful specialist! I hope this is your month but if not it is great that you have a next step planned - way to advocate for yourself!!
I'm trying hard to let go of control, I just spent too long googling if my lab values were normal today. I am trying to just do what I'm told: start prometrium, do blood work in two weeks & try to relax...My birthday is May 5th so it would certainly be nice to get a BFP!

Good morning ladies :)
Nicksy - so great to hear from you :) Congratulations on the weight lost, that's wonderful!
Nikki, Sassa, Sunshine, Mom - how are you all doing? Veronica I hope you're doing okay
AFM - this will likely be a quiet month for me. I started the progesterone suppositories last night (bit of a delay on my end because I was nervous to start) and I'm trying to remain hopeful that they will help.

Proud of you nickysy! Hope your efforts are beneficial down the line, too.

Beth I had a whole big reply typed but it got deleted and I'm too annoyed today to redo it. Lol. I was fine all day until I came home a little early to take my DD to soccer practice only to find my husband freaking relaxing on the couch when there were dishes to be put away and the dishwasher needed loaded and started, laundry to be done, house keeping in general, he could've taken her to soccer so I didn't need to leave work early. It instantly set me into an annoyed mood to see this.

Now I'm sitting in my car at soccer practice sulking because it's cold to just sit on the bench. I was going to take a walk during practice but I'm too annoyed to do anything right now. Ughhh. I swear husbands are just children in larger clothes. Everyone always says how amazing mine is for adopting DD but they don't see just how much I do and how little he does. I'm now 6 months pregnant and he's STILL not being more helpful around the house or even acting like I have any reason to be exhausted and emotional. Most days I'm fine, this week I travelled every single day except today. This is the first time I've missed wine since November.

Sorry for my rant, I must be super hormonal today because I'm taking everything personally and feeling sorry for myself.

Mom - how are you feeling today? Did you talk to your husband about how you were feeling?

Ladies I miss all of you! I'd love to hear how you all are doing.

I think these progesterone supplements are messing with my mood. I feel bloated and irritable and sad. 11 days until my blood test & I'm trying not to think about it too much because my outlook isn't so positive.

Good Morning Beautiful Ladies !

Sorry to have taken a little hiatus but April is an insanely busy month for my family my 30 th birthday was last week, my to closest siblings had their birthdays a few days before mine, my sons birthday party was in the first week of the month however he is born in the end of march. Ohhh we also had Easter and work is starting for me for this season. Sooo super busy I also put ttc on a back burner seeing as DH was away for work for almost two weeks. With my hsg being pushed and needing that before continuing with our fs I just put April down as a wash seeing as DH should have been gone during O
. Anyway I don't know if you ladies remember but I had a pretty close to positive opk on cd 5, and am now experiencing light brown spotting.... I'm cd 20 today shortest cycle for me I think has either been 27 to 29 days. I have absolutely no clue what's going on.... even if I ovulated the day of the positive opk cd 5 I'm still a day early has anyone heard of cd 4-5 ovulation? Errr frustrated with my body right now.

Beth I'm sorry to hear the progesterone is affecting you, hopefully it results in a beautiful bfp at the end of this cycle :)

Sorry to just unload Butkus to had to share.

Hey Mom I hope you're feeling better and got hubby told!! Men are a drag sometimes but what would we do without them (I guess)

Sas I have no experience or knowledge on O'ng so early but I'll be interested in seeing how it pans out!

How are the rest of the ladies?

Not much on my end...o day should be approaching but I haven't temped or used opk's this month. I did do my last round of Clomid at the highest dose but just not interested in the rest of the ttc mayhem.

Thanks for looking out, ladies. I made abnormal dinner that he likes (haha--maybe I didn't mention here hat I was passive aggressively thinking about making something he hated just to spite him lol!!). He was juuuust starting to unload dishes when I got home (eye roll, he must've heard me coming) but they got done. We had dinner and I tried to stay mad but I couldn't. Haha. I think we both have a bit of an only child attitude some days, I'm the youngest by 5 years and only child for my dad, he's the only boy so he didn't have to share..we get shitty sometimes. We're all good though, we had to go to his mean sisters Saturday for a bday party. She's obnoxious but it wasn't horrible, I kept to myself and sat by hubby, spoke to people who aren't crummy. Today we herd his younger sister is in labor--this baby will be 2 days before the other sisters' older daughters birthday. Hopefully there will be baby cuddles after work :)

Sassa I've never had a cycle like that, that I'm aware of. Maybe you were stressing without realizing and it affected your timing this month? The running around and craziness may have disturbed you. Can't wait for your hsg, I think that's your ticket!

Feel better Beth! Maybe take a walk or jog to clear your head and get your body moving, on bloaty days exercising sometimes makes me feel a little more normal.

Nikki maybe a break from charting and tempting and testing is what you need this month. You've done what you needed to, just breath and relax a bit now and go with the flow.
