Sassa so glad to hear they scheduled you for an HSG!!! I so hope that when they clear your tubes out you'll get that baby real quick afterwards!!!! I'm leaning towards boy as well, the heartbeat kinda sealed it for me. Lol. DD and I went to dinner with my mom & her bf last night and she thinks the baby has "strong features" (HA!) so now she's thinking it's a boy. Her bf is still firmly sticking with girl, we can't sway him! DD says it's a boy as does DH and a few of my girlfriends. I am going to ship til I drop next week when I get a second to do so ;) I'm trying to be restrained though bc I know my family--I'm the ONLY one with any children and no one else is even thinking about kids yet. My aunts will go baby crazy, by dad doesn't have other kids so stepmom will go nuts, my sister will prob. never have kids so my moms already losing control, my maternal grandma is a big shopper... I need to not go nuts but idk if I'll be able to keep myself in check. Really, we don't NEED much, a crib and mattress, bedding, prob a bouncer seat. I'm not buying a swing bc I didn't have one with DD and she survived just fine, plus I find them wasteful since they grow out of them so fast. I'm headed to pick up the cake (and piñata my mom decided to buy) after DD gymnastics then we have a full day of running around and parties so I'll be distracted. I just have to not touch the cake box and wait until 3pm tomorrow. I can do this. ;)

EEEEE!!! Mom so exited!!!!!!
I'm going to throw out a guess and say boy as well :) why not!? it's so fun to guess :) :) :) :) :)

Also they called from my fertility clinic. They said my day 3 labs were "good" then she tried to hang up but I made here read out all my results hahaha. My antral follicle count was more than 20 and my FSH was low, 5 or something, which they also said was good? Nicksy maybe you'd be able to weigh in here. I have my sonohysterogram on Monday and will go back for daily ultrasounds/blood work starting next Saturday. I'm so excited to get more information about what has been going on. I don't think we will hear about DH's SA until we meet with the doctor on April 12th though, and that's fine :)

Ugh. Mini-rant:

We went to a little get together at a friends house yesterday, one of those oil diffuser parties but the hubbys came and hung out in the basement with kids. Anyhoo, a lot of our work friends are 10-15 years older than my DH and I so they've had their kids and are just raising them now and they're like mid-thirties or forties. So, anyway, there was a lady there who said to me "did someone say you're 5 months pregnant?" And I said I'm 18 weeks, technically that is 5 months even though everyone counts 20 weeks as five months (pregnancy months are weird haha!) and she says "oh, well I guess I'm like 5 months too (and grabs her stomach" as if to say my belly isn't big enough. It felt kind of insulting, mind you I don't know this woman and this was the first time I'd met her. I think telling a woman she looks great is fine, but making her to feel as though her stomach isn't large enough to be x months along is so crummy. She doesn't know what I looked like before I got pregnant, if I've gained weight, if I had a totally flat tummy, etc. The baby is only artichoke sized, that's not that large! My ultrasound was perfect, baby is exactly the right size and there's no concern for how much or how little weight I've put on. I AM gaining weight btw, right now I'm 5lbs up from conception and this is after losing in the first tri but that loss could've been water weight while I had so much diarrhea so I don't really count those 5ish pounds.
All I know is in the future I will never tell a pregnant lady she doesn't "look" pregnant yet or that her tummy isn't big enough or that I must be as far as her, knowing how it feels to hear.

Hope all is well with you ladies!

Sassa- don't know where you're located but I'm in the US. Prescribing clomid is extremely common here for any type of infertility. Personally I don't think it will make a difference and maybe will just help with our timing? I don't know we will find out!

Ugh mom that's so annoying! People are so rude and so weird. 18 weeks is nothing! People barely look preg at that stage.

Mom: that is super annoying. I really dislike it when women are competitive with one another. We should celebrate one another and what makes us each unique. There is probably a component of jealousy on her part. Or maybe she has an odd way of interacting with people. Either way, you're doing great and it doesn't matter what you look like, as long as you and bubs are healthy.

Sunshine: will they be doing ultrasounds to see how many follicles you develop while on Clomid? I hope it does the trick for you and that you'll be getting your BFP this cycle!

Yeah, I feel like sometimes people say that as a "compliment" to the preggo but it's really not one...especially when you're excited and feel like you ARE showing and wear a tighter shirt to show the bump. Getting ready for the reveal now...so antsy!!

Momoftwo I'm so excited I will be checking in often!
It's funny you mentioned your mom saying she thinks your DLO has strong features as the same thought passed through my mind. Soooooo cute!

I experienced the same types of comments when o was pregnant especially with my son, I think by the time I was pregnant with my daughter everyone realized I was a small girl and stayed healthy so not so much shock, I'm with Beth I don't like the competition we're all different individuals and those things should be celebrated. Don't feel badly lo is right on track and you're healthy when you shared your bump pictures I was like omygoodness your pictures look like mine at the same weeks with my DS. He was born full term completely healthy and weighed 7'4 20 inches long, both of us were realized within 12 hours of his birth with a clean bill of health. I just wanted to offer you reassurance that you look healthy I think maybe she was trying to be funny and compliment you and it was kind of an open mouth insert foot type of moment. Ahh I hope you share the reveal results right away (hehe no pressure) I'm so antsy! And happy for you! LET THE SHOPPING BEGIN!

Beth I'm so happy everything went well haha to not letting the nurse hang up without reading you your results. I have to learn to be a little more assertive in those areas I'm a little passive and just like ohhh okay and then hang up an wonder away.

It's exciting that you'll have answers, I'm so happy yay our thread has seen so much progress in the last few months.

Sunshine thank you so much for answering my questions I hope they didn't come off as rude just complete curiosity as DH and I sound like we're close to where you and your DH are and I'm scared of the unknown category as I don't know what they'll do however I won't have any answers until may one thing we do know is that I'm ovulating every month, and DH had great sperm lol. I hope that working with your specialist you are able to find a means to achieving a viable pregnancy which is exactly where I am. Thanks so much and I really hope I did not offend you.

Afm ntm at the moment I stopped charting this month my schedule went haywire and my waking time has carried to much for temps to be reliable errr! However I did have cramping for my O yesterday and sorry for tmi but loads of EWCM (which as you ladies know I never get) however DH is away so it looks like bd one day before O is all we will get in I'm a little frustrated about that but not to much I can do.

Hello everyone.

Sorry, couldn't post yesterday. I am back at my place and travel took most of my day.

Beth: Thats awesome news on your blood work! Good AFC and low FSH is a measure for good ovarian reserve. Did they measure your AMH hormone too? What about the sonohysterogram? I am glad you are moving one step closer towards figuring out the answers. Waiting to hear about your scans! AFM, my blood test is supposed to be on 26th. But thats a sunday. So 27th it is.

Sunshine: Hoping that clomid isn't treating you that badly!

Mom: Thank you for sharing the pic. I am gonna root for a boy to give company to your daughter. Its really rude of that female to talk about like this. Prob cause of jealousy. You do workout, and are a healthy mom. Its prob intimidating for a lot of females. I am waiting to hear about your gender reveal party now!

Sassa: I am happy for your appointment. Good that DH SA results came back fine. Thats a relief on one side at the least. HSG will def help in knowing more. And don't worry about bd timing. Remember, all it takes is one sperm. Fxed single shot is gonna do it for you.

Nikki: I hope cali is treating you nicely!

Veronica: How are you?

AFM, its the end of 8 dpo for me. Am tucked in my bed. Had a good day today lazing around with DH. He is having night shifts at the hosp this month. Funnily, it has happened for us 2-3 times, that we have had guests over around the time of my ovulation and DHs night shift duties. Its so difficult to tell people to leave us alone for some time during the day! I was just remembering today, that last time it happened, we went ahead and bd in our car! Felt like we were back in college.

Sassa: it's hard to do sometimes but we really have to advocate for ourselves! I don't want to be labeled as a difficult patient but I want to know everything I can about this process. I get anxious when I don't have information. How's the weather out your way? Winter can't seem to make up its mind! (sorry everyone, we Canadians love to chat about weather)

Mom: EEK SO EXCITED FOR YOU!

Nicksy: Thanks for your response! I had a good laugh at your story about BDing in the car - TTC has no limits!!! We've had house guests various times while TTC and our place is NOT very well soundproofed, so we've had to do some very quiet BDing hahaha.

My doctor did order an AMH but I don't have the results of that yet. I assume he'll let me know what's going on when we meet in person. I found this blog: http://fertility.ca/eggs/whats-my-ovari ... h-afc-amh/ it's helpful for me because it's Canadian clinic so the units are the same.

Hey ladies!!!

Just wanted to pop in and say I miss you all! I've really been relaxing and enjoying df without all of the ttc pressure. I'm almost happy that this wasn't O week as we've really had NORMAL fun with each other.

Sas and Beth I'm glad you both are headed towards getting the answers that you need! 2017 is going to be the year ladies!!

Sunshine how are you hun?

Nicky any symptom spotting yet? fingers crossed that this is your month!

Mom I'm anxiously awaiting the reveal!! I originally said girl anddddd I'm sticking with that! (Even with the heart rate)

I think I'm around cd9 or 10 and I haven't been temping/charting. I'm almost compelled to not do it at all this cycle once I'm back home...I guess I'll see how I feel. I've still been taking Metformin and started taking Geritol around Cd1 but I'm not worrying myself crazy this month so I'm just going with the flow!
