2018 Baby Buddies (2)

Postby BeeCee33 » Sat May 27, 2017 9:03 pm

This is a continuation of the previous 2018 Baby Buddies thread found here: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=246447

New peeps, please read:

This is an established buddy group that is getting very large. We have been going by our first names just to get to know each other better, but it's getting hard to keep up with everyone! If you'd like to join, feel free, all are welcome. But be warned that you might feel kind of lost in a sea of people who know each other pretty well and you might want to consider starting a new group. :) We have a lot of people join and then disappear, which makes it hard to keep the members list current, so please only join if you are confident that you want to keep up with a busy thread! So, if you feel like you'd like to join, please tell us your first name and introduce yourself!

Rough members list: (I'm adding the most active or established members. If your name isn't on here, it's simply because we haven't heard from you in awhile and I'll add it if you become active on this current thread!)

Hi Ladies, I thought I might jump in on your group as you seem to be the most active and have started a new thread! My name is Courtney and I am 25 TTC#1. This is my first ever post and first month post BCP. I am currently on CD38 with no sign of O or AF in sight so a bit of a wait until my body decides to kick back into gear… hopefully! I have been on BCP for over 10 years due to irregular cycles so I have no idea what I’m in for when the time comes. Would be lovely to get some support as only my SIL knows that we are trying. Excited to get to know you all and hope I can also give some support back, even though I don’t know much about this whole TTC thing just yet!

Hi Ladies

I thought I'd jump on this board too if that's ok as you all seem so lovely and it's such an active thread!

My name is Fiona and I'm 29 (soon to be 30 in July) and I live in Yorkshire, England with my DH whose also 29.

We are currently in our 13th month TTC and I'm 6DPO today. My Dr diagnosed me with PCOS and we are waiting to hear from the local hospital for a referral to the fertility specialist for some help.

I've recently lost 33lbs as I've heard that being overweight with PCOS meant it would stop ovulation and it seems to work as my irregular periods have now settled into a regular 28 day cycle these last 3 months.

Anyway I'm looking forward to hearing from all you wonderful ladies and getting some opinions and support along the way from you as well as giving you all some back!

Fiona

Oh and I forgot to add DH has had a SA and he is fine so whatever issues we are having its on my side.

I'm trying to stay positive but it's hard as everyone around me is falling pregnant at the moment!

Hi Court

Thank you! Yes 33lbs is roughly 15kgs.

I hope so too although if I've not heard anything by the end of next week I will be calling them as it's been 3 weeks. I expect to have to wait a while for an appointment but not to just get a call to arrange the appointment! Sorry just getting impatient now lol.

I would definitely be impatient too. Three weeks is a long time just to find out about an appointment, hoping you get the call ASAP.

Welcome ladies!

And thank you everyone. We're cautious because of my loss the last time but I went and bought 8 tests yesterday so I can test in the mornings to make sure the lines are getting darker. It took us 14 months so there's still hope for you ladies. Also this month I lost 10 lbs (just 166 to 156 and I'm 5'4) and I stopped taking the vitamin b6 and the epo. I hope you ladies join me soon!

Hi there new ladies! Looking forward to following your stories.

I am pretty sure I ovulated two days ago. Hopefully I get crosshairs tomorrow. This was my first round of Femara and I don't think it was really any better than Clomid because I still didn't O until CD 20. The only differences I have seen on Femara are that my BBT seems to be lower by about .5 degree and my nipples are SO SORE now! haha sorry for TMI, but seriously. Like so bad that I had to take my bra off today because they were sore and I couldn't stand having anything touch them. What's the deal with that? Just the post-O progesterone? I hope it goes away.

And Kathryn, Clomid gave me insanely sensitive nips. I'm not sure about Femara but I imagine they are similar with slight differences.

Hi to our new ladies, you're very welcome!

Bre YAY!!!! Congratulations!!!! So delighted for you!!

We had our first scan last week and saw our gorgeous baba :) it was sleeping with its two hands up under its chin so the ultra sound tech gave my tummy a good poke and Baby woke right up and started dancing for us!

I swear it was like watching a movie except it was happening inside my tummy!

I asked four or five times about the heart beat and she kept reassuring me that everything was perfect, she also told me I need to relax now and start enjoying it!

How is EOE? Xxx

Welcome ladies!!

Congrats Bre!

Kathryn- My nips get sore after O on Femara too! Maybe its a good thing!!! FX'd for you!

Libby- Glad you got to see your baby!!! So Exciting!

Today is CD 1 for me so I'll be taking 5 mg of Femara this cycle after 4 cycles at 2.5mg. Really hoping it gets me a BFP.

Thanks Ladies for the warm welcomes and congrats Bre!

I finally got my first positive OPK today after 40 days of wondering whats going on. So feeling a little bit excited at the moment but am sure this will pass as I head into my first TWW. I am such a type A so thinking I am going to struggle. Any tips on how to get through it?
