K ladies, I need your HELP!!!!

Dr. called and my progesterone levels are 0.5! What the crap?? That is so not conclusive with Ovulation...

What I don't understand though is why did he say I O'd as I showed signs of it via u/s, my endometrial lining is where is should be after O (7.9mm) but such a LOW progesterone level??

I think going to the Dr. raised more questions and frustrations for me now than is has given me answers! UGH!!!

K, so after researching I've found that I'm officially getting way too much Estrogen! This is bad. Very bad. Can lead to endometrial cancer! The estrogen is what makes the endometrial lining thick ready for an eggie to implant and when progesterone is released it prepares for AF. Well, with those with long cycles (such as myself), we get more estrogen and not enough progesterone to counter this thus the thicker lining and all. Gosh, this really sucks.

I talked to dh and I'm gonna go back on the Progest for at least three cycles but probably longer to make sure my body knows what it's supposed to do! After going off of it, I initially had a GREAT cycle! But, that means we must prevent for three months or else I'll miscarry... UGH. So, back to not TTC... :-( But I guess on the bright side, doing it for three cycles would mean I would have a 30 ish day cycle, heck yeah! So, we would be back in the game officially the middle of May which means I would be 100% done with school without worrying about that while TTC.

I'm also calling around to gyms today becuase I'm scared. I don't want to be stupid and act like I'm immune to getting cancer and if I can do anything to keep from happening so be it! They even said having PCOS is a higher chance of endometrial cancer as you naturally have higher levels of estrogen and excess fat cells turn into estrogen too...

SO LADIES, I want you all to ask me how I'm doing, K??? I need some kinda accountability with this... Kick my butt! LOL I'm giving you permission!

K, one last thing then I'm off to float in sorrow...

My dad just called. Good news, K is in a rehab program that hopefully will be EXCELLENT for her! She went in today... It's a life program. not just for addicts but prostitutes, and so forth.

Bad news. One of our family dogs, Brutus, was taken to the vet again today due to him acting strangly and they found a hard mass in his chest, cancer. Dad suspects putting him to sleep very soon. he's not eating, drinking, and just is not himself. We've had him for 11 years... My brother is going to be DEVESTATED!!! That is HIS dog. He's such a good dog too... So well behaved. We had a previous dog we had to put to sleep due to the same thing and showing the same symptoms.

K, I an barely see what I'm typing through my tears. Sorry to be so down today.

Good evening Sorry for your crappy day megs. But you can do some positive things like take the progest and get fit. Did you call the gyms? Just doing regular easy things like fast walking is a great fat burner. I love doing exercise so its easy for me as it's just a fab way of socalising and getting rid of tension and I love the feeling of being fit. But if it's not your favourite thing you've gotta find something that inspires you and you enjoy or it's really difficult to stick to. Some of my friends who don't really like exercising have found things one of my friends does kick boxing and another plays netball and rounders and loves the social side. Or you could do something like salsa dancing lessons thats a great way to get fit or pole dancing lessons lol anything that is fun i've had a go and it is very tiring he he.
My hubby is working late boo hoo he wont be home till midnight so I'm all alone and tilly floss has gone to bobos.
Question for you One of my friends has been having bad periods and so she mentioned it to her doc and he sent her for a scan as she had been on the pill for 10 years plus. SHe went and theysaid there was something 1.5 cm in her womb in the lining??? They were really vague but they have fast tracked her (which is amazing on the NHS) and she's going for further scans and to see the gyn on Monday. She is really worried has anyone any ideas what this could be?
Harriet hope your ok?? No temp?? Hope it's good news not bad.
I have been trying to pack for my hols geez you would think were moving the amount of stuff we have. But I'm so looking forward to it and I cant wait to get kaylied with my friend (I'm not an alchey or anything lol) But I've not been drunk for over a year. My sd is looking forward to it too but we have to have a talk with her tomorrow she has been really playing up at her mums and so we have to reinforce what they are saying she's not being really bad just a moody teenager lol.
Sorry I'm rambling but this is the longest I've had to myself in ages I just hope Isobel sleeps through again. If I don't get on again I will catch up again in a week when I get back I doubt we will have internet access we are out in the country.

Love you all

Hazel- lol about the Heinz variety dog! My great grandpa always used to say that he was "Heinz 57". I have such a mixed heritage that I can only claim to be about 1/4 German, and that is from adding up the little bits from all the grandparents. Add in a little French, English, Norwegian, Native American, a sprinkling of a little bit of everything else and here I am!! I hope everyone has a great weekend. My brain is fried from the week so the only personal I am doing is to Marcelle. Sorry the :af: showed, but I am so excited to hear your test results!! I am off for a "girl's night" with my mom and sister. They are treating me to a pedi and dinner. It's my consolation for not falling pg this month. Ha Ha

First off, Hazel, the mass in your friends' uterus could have been a fibroid, very common but potentially detrimental to a woman who wishes to conceive in the future. My aunt has a fibroid partially imbedded in her uterine wall and has to have a partial hysterctomy on March 10th. Ironically enough that is the day my first LO would have been born... hmmm... anyway a fibroid is all I can think of at the moment. If I come up with anything else I'll let you know.

Megs I have not forgotten about you. I am investigating and will be calling you when Arty goes to work. Chin up! I'm sorry about your puppy! No fun at all when you love an animal soooo....

I felt really bad for leaving such a downer on the thread... I want to end on a good note for the night!!! :-)

Hazel, thanks for the bit of encouragement! :-) I did contact two gyms. one is VERY cheap and much closer but only offers the stationary stuff and free weights. The other is a YMCA but is very expensive but offers classes (which I'm more likely to do), stationary, free weights, swimming, tennis courts, etc, etc, etc. It's a bit further but not too bad. Like in between my nanny job and home. :-) Dh and I are going tomorrow to "tour" these places and sign up for one. He has given me permission to not resist me when I say let's go to the gym and we're gonna do this together!

I hope you have a blast on holiday!!! I can imagine packing for a LO as there is so much required on a daily basis! LOL Take pics as I wanna see them!!!! :-)

Annie, I hope you're enjoying your "Girls night" out! :-) It's so lovely you have this time with your family!

Brutus is a Full blooded German Shepard. His mom was a drug dog for the county police. He was the only one that survived from his litter of five. The rest had fluke accidents that killed them. Weird.

Thanks Krissy for that website! I'm gonna go check it out ASAP! :-)

Thank you Missy too for your hugs! Much appreciated! Ah, the life of a hormonal woman... LOL

So, ending the day on a good note... We took our neighbors eldest boy to "Family Fun Night" at church as his whole family is like REALLY sick. Fevers, throwing up, the whole nine yards. We figured what the heck... So here dh and I are, with an 11 year old boy among a gazillion kids! LOL It was hilarious. Anyways, long story short... 10 years ago a family moved away that my family (me mostly and at the end all the time) babysat for. When we started babysitting the girl was six weeks and two years later came the little boy. Well, she was six and he was four when they moved away. I had not seen them since... I heard they moved back but didn't know a way to get in touch or anything. Tonight I hear this familar voice hollaring the girls name. I see her face and we both get this look like OH MY GOSH! LOL It was hilarious! Just some faces you never forget... It was amazing to see these kids I was SO close to 10+ years ago and not have any contact since. Awesome! Totally made my entire day! :-) Dh was worried about me emotionally going and being around all these families with all these kids and was hesistant to go to protect my feelings (chorus: Awwwww). I'm SO glad we went though!! Had SO much fun! Just what I needed... Anything better than the Dr. could have ordered. :-) Thought you all deserved to share the good special moments along with the vent bad times. It's just been one emotional day! LOL

K, so I tried to make it short! LOL I'm off to read this article and then to bunk! I hope Harriet updates tomorrow with some great news!!! :-)

Enjoy your evenings and the rest of the weekend lads!

*DING DING DING DING!!! We have a winner...* This is a statement from that article Krissy provided. "Stress combined with a bad diet can induce cycles where ovulation does not occur. The consequent lack of progesterone interferes with the production of the stress-combating hormones, worsening stressful conditions that give rise to further anovulatory cycles and so continues the vicious cycle." Uh yeah, I'd say that's what's happening.

Oh yes, and something else I've thought about.... i've done A LOT of thinking about this today. Sorry I don't have anywhere else to vent this... Yall are my readers so you may "skim" through if you wish! Um, since April 2007 we have been buying 99% of our meat and dairy products organic, as in mainly concerned with no estrogen or antibiotics added. Well, early on in this current cycle we went to Wal-mart (where we don't usually shop) and purchsed two gallons of regular milk (as in with added estrogen and anti-biotics). I wonder... Has this affected me? We have since gone through those two gallons as it doesn't take long and have purchsed our usual hormone and anti-biotic free milk from elsewhere. I'm trying so hard to make some sort of sense of all this... Something to change. Something to help me understand my body more.

Hey Hazel, hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Annie, glad to have you back, hope you enjoyed your girls night. Sounds like a great idea.
You really do have a bit of everything don't you, how nice to have links to so many different countries.

Megs, sorry about your dog ((hugs)). I don't like to think of you as being sad.

Marcelle, I'm looking forward to your appointment tomorrow!

Sorry girls, I think I'm going to have to disappoint you and not get that there elusive bfp this cycle. It was fun (?) getting excited though.
It was lovely seeing dh and I really miss him already, but I still have to wait another 10 days before seeing him again and even then it'll only be for a couple of days. Grrr.
I now have a rotten cold, I have the air con on for the hot flushes and a blanket on to keep me warm and I'm sneezing and blowing my nose all the time ~ utterly miserable.

Worst of all though, I just rang my folks and my dad is back in the hospital . This is for both his heart and a burst ulcer which is another effect from his previous complications from surgery.
It's horrible being so far away.

I just gotta say...any maybe I shouldn't but its too late now LOL...

That during my 2ww up until about 14/15dpo I was suuuuuuuper sick - like stuffed up no appetite achy body dizzy spells no energy sneezy coughing mess. So maybe....just maybe....your sickness will just progress into morning sickness?

When did I turn into the eternal optimist LOL - I think Krissy's rubbing off on me haha!

BTW - So sorry you can't be near your family, I will be sure to say a few extra prayers for you guys tonight :D
