TTC 9yrs unexplained infertility!

Postby soskinny » Thu Mar 17, 2011 3:30 am

Im fed up and dont know how much longer i can go on ttc. After my youngest was born 9yrs ago by c section I started trying for another... nothing. No one was interested in helping me because i already have children.
I am perfect height/ weight. I have no illnesses or medical conditions, I dont smoke or drink, my bloods came back perfect no problems with thyroid, hormones, anaemia etc. My cycles are perfect 28/31 days and im definately ovulating.

WTH is wrong with me! I just feel its not gonna happen and i have no idea why. Sorry to moan ladies but it hurts more each cycle

Hi there - I can't say I know how it feels to be waiting the 9 years...but I can say I know how it feels to be so-called NORMAL and nothing is happening for you...

We are in the same boat, other than the timeline and the fact that I am TTC#1. It hurts big time when people are getting their BFPs all around you, especially those that only have to try for one cycle! GRRRRRRR My bff had irregular cycles and was told by her doctor that she would have difficulty conceiving and her first cycle trying they got pg. That one is pretty hard to live with :(

It is extremely frustrating and I know how much your heart must hurt! You are not alone...We have been trying for number 2 for over 2 years. Every month is harder than the last. I hope that you get your BFP soon!

Whether it is our first of fifth, it shouldn't be this hard for us. There are lots of bellies around me at the moment (I work in childcare) and they are all due around the same time. And seeing I've been at the place for four years and seen their kid go through childcare from the age they turned 2, I always get the "When are you having kids?" question. Grrr

Thanks ladies. I know im not alone and that makes me feel like im being selfish but if i knew what was wrong or what i needed to do to get pg atleast i would have something to focus on. All i hear is 'everythings normal' its just not helping!

I hope you both get your BFPs very soon and dont end up waiting as long as me :(

I hate unexplained infertility! It's so frustrating because no one can figure out why you're not getting pregnant, it's just not happening. :hugs: I have not been TTC nearly as long as you have but I do feel your pain. It seems like it gets worse every month so I can only imagine what it's like where you're sitting.

Yeah DP is fully functioning. I feel its me and i cant explain why, its just a constant feeling that something isnt right.

Im 11 DPO today and my pms mood swings are in full force, i even shouted at my cat for not eating her breakfast and leaving it for other cats. Ive also had my monthly headaches for the last 3 nights so i know af is on her way again. I feel screaming sometimes. I just want af to stay away and leave me alone.

:hugs: I'm sorry that you've been trying for so long without success. It's definitely frustrating not having answers when you want them. I finally found out what makes me ovulate after the first year of trying, but now I keep getting pregnant and miscarrying. I've had a ton of testing done, but everything is basically "normal" so there's not much that we can do. I hate being told that it's just bad luck by doctor after doctor. BTW, I just checked out your chart tonight and it looks amazing! Any updates on how this cycle is going?

Hi all. Well i had my ultrasounds and apparently everything is perfect and there is no reason why i cant concieve. My uterus, tubes, lining all look perfect. No cysts, no fibroids. All my bloods taken were perfect as well. The sonographer asked why i was even there, when i told her i had been TTC for 9yrs she was shocked and said she cant see why im not getting pg.

I feel worse now as i know there is nothing i can do, i have no further tests or treatment im just back waiting for that bfp.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi soskinny. I'm in the same boat. Everything with me and DH is perfectly healthy and normal. I have had every test under the sun including surgery. Its been 2 years of ttc number 4. I am very blessed and lucky to have three healthy children but I have remarried and started a new life and wondering WTH this baby is hiding! Month after month of disappointment does take its toll. I cant afford IVF so its just like you said, I'm just waiting for that BFP.

I really hope you get your :bfp: soon. 9 years is a long, long time. Good luck. I have my FX for you.

Thanks. Its strange isnt it how the body can do it easily a couple of times and then suddenly 'nothing'. Well im not giving up even if im still here in another 9yrs. I wish you all the best in getting your BFP too :)
