I think it's always good to have hope. It's what keeps us going through all of this ugly stuff we have to deal with. It's good your doctor has high hopes. I think trying IUI is good - it's certainly a lot cheaper, right? It's so annoying that insurance never covers any of this stuff. Ours won't either. :?

Yup, I'm in the same boat with insurance. They cover everything as far as IF meds and appointments as long as I don't do IUI or IVF. It's so annoying. Good luck with the IUI though. Hopefully that will do the trick and you won't have to spend all of the money on IVF.

Good luck this cycle rachaels_mom. Maybe you won't need to do IUI.

Being from Canada the majority of testing is covered for us. For IUI we only have to pay for the preparation of the sperm which is about $400. My DH and I don't have and extended health coverage tho to cover any extras like prescriptions so all of my fertility meds are being paid for out of pocket. We haven't gotten into the expensive meds yet and hopefully we won't have to.

Feeling very impatient today for O. I should get my + OPK in 2 days and it seems like an eternity! Anyone else close to O?

Afireinside- How are you feeling? Did you test yet or are you waiting it out for AF?

Hawkeye- It only takes one good egg. Good luck!!

meggola- You're right about hope. You've gotta have it going through what we do month after month. Hope is what keeps me trying again and again.

Kara- I know IVF is expensive so you've definitely got a good plan to pay down the debt more first.
Me (Danielle) 30- ovulatory factor
DH 34- perfect swimmers!

I did test today at 12dpo and :bfn: :| Not surprised... however I do have a longer LP so may be too early. I have a f/u appt with my Fertility Specialist tomorrow to discuss what we're going to do next cycle, if :af: arrives...

hello everyone-
cycle day 7 for me, i have done 5 doses of follistim (200). i had for follies today (14, 3 x 12)!! RE wants to do 3 more days then trigger! i hope they all keep growing. estradiol was just over 300....was thinking it would be higher!?!?

i will be checking this thread/board more often! i definitely appreciate the support of ladies that have been on a similarly long journey!!

vent: i have been feeling very negative regarding others with babies lately. at my u/s today, the tech commented as she was walking me back, about just sharing "cute baby photos" with others. :x

Goobermom~I sooooo understand, there are so many pregnant ladies on my facebook right, one of them I actually had to hide there posts because I was feeling so down last week. Ah, ttc so emotional and irrational.

Yes I did!! On CD21, 1 day earlier than the last 2 cycles. Today marks CD26. Hoping for a BFP this cycle but not feeling optimistic. I'm sure you ladies can relate, after seeing so many BFN's I just don't expect that BFP anymore.

See my RE next Friday for all my results from this month's tests and I have to say I'm really nervous. That will mark 14dpo for me. Doc mentioned that he may have me do an HSG next cycle if I'm not PG this time. We'll see I guess.

How are the rest of you? Anyone O or get their long awaited BFP?

wannababy2011, i relate to your difficulty remaining hopeful. We had our IUI today, and i would feel myself being hopeful, but then would hesitate and think "why now, after 2.5 years, should this one work?" But i know i will still experience hope during the TWW, as that is my personality! :)
i hope you hear positive (and helpful) info when you meet with your RE! maybe you will be pregnant when you go!!

wannababy & goobermom: I can definitely relate to you two this month. I'm glad that I definitely O'd, but I just don't have a good feeling about it since I responded so poorly to the Follistim. Sounds like we're all in the TWW together since I'm 6dpo. Good luck ladies! :luck: :babydustg:

afireinside: I'm sorry about the BFN. How did the appointment with the fertility specialist go?

AFM, just got home from a much needed vacation and today is my fourth wedding anniversary and marks nine years together. I can't believe hubby and I have been together for that long already. Hope everyone here is doing ok.

Hawkeye- I'm 6dpo today too! Looks like we're on the same page. Lol

Thanks goobermom. I'm hoping that just maybe i'll be pg when I go. Not getting my hopes up too high tho.

Afireinside- Sorry that AF showed. What did your RE say?

AFM: Okay ladies, help me out here. I just recently (Tues) had a 3D ultrasound of my uterus. The tech showed me the very last picture which was of the entire uterus. She said, look it's heart-shaped. Kinda scared me cuz I know that's abnormal. It did have a very slight heart shape to it and now I'm scared cuz I know it's supposed to be pear-shaped. I'm nervous about my results next week now. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you for asking :) The appointment went well - he gave me 4 cycles of Femara and if this cycle I get another BFN then for the next 1-3 cycles I will do cycle monitoring along with Femara. If that doesn't work we'll move onto IUI and a LAP and take it from there.... FX!!
