I would love to keep in touch. Its so hard to find anyone who knows what its like to not see those elusive lines (the only reason I knew was because of blood work)....its nice not being the only one who hates seeing a "BFP after a long 6 months and I didn't think it would happen"....blah! Besides just because we are on "breaks" we really aren't ya know what I mean? lol. I think we are going to do it, it won't be during the 2ww of the IVF cycle, I won't be able to relax or sit in hot pools there or anything of the like. Not sure exactly where we are going to go, but we will try to go this fall if we don't have any luck with the next IUI rounds.
Me (Tiffany):28 DH(Jon): 32 TTC #1 going on 11 years. DH has SevereMF. I have severe Insulin Resistance, metformin 2000mg/day to keep that in check. Also have ovulation issues

Tiffany: I think that going on vacation before IVF is a great idea! Brownie points to your DH for that. Think how great you'll feel when you come back all relaxed. It's official, I'm jealous. :)

Sharon: Absolutely we should keep in touch. I think it's weird that we've all got the same cycle schedule pretty much and that helps things I think.

My thoughts are we stay here on this thread for now. If we get too long then we can start a new thread. It'll make keeping track of you girls that much easier if I don't have to go searching for a new thread.

AFM: I was right. AF showed like clockwork on Fri morning. To top it all off I've got a cold and Thu, Fri, Sat were the worst days. It was fabulous having to deal with both at the same time.
I also decided I'm taking a break this month. My alarm went off this morning to go in for my day 3 u/s and I just didn't have the energy to get out of bed. So I called my clinic and canceled my appt. We also decided that we weren't going to spend the $40 on meds this month and instead just wait until I know when my specialist appt will be. We don't even know for sure that I can even get pregnant at this point cuz my doc doesn't know the problem. No point in spending more money on something that may not even work.

Question for you ladies since you've both taken Clomid. Have either of gotten MUCH lighter periods after being on Clomid for a few rounds? I'm asking because my period started on Fri and was "normal" that day. I'd say med/heavy flow. By Sat afternoon tho there was barely anything and today it's almost gone. This is the shortest period I've ever gotten. 2 days of bleeding and a day of spotting just doesn't seem right to me. Any thoughts? Or similar experiences?

Yes! My period was three days, medium flow with spotting before and after before I took clomid, which was still light comparatively. But after clomid it was one day of medium flow with spotting before and after. Literally I could have gotten by with one pad for the whole period. This month after clomid is still light but two days instead of one. I am afraid to try clomid again but I already bought it and am waiting on a cycle that I am able to handle. They did give me estrogen to counteract the thinning of my lining although the re says it usually doesn't work. Hmmm, why give it to me then?!

Danielle: Brownie points for him for sure. We had some friends over last night, and they asked how things were going (we haven't seen them for months....shame on us), but DH explained that I really needed a break before going on, and that he felt the same way. He announced to them that we will be doing a vacation...YAY!!! I so can't wait. It gives me something positive to look at, and if we can't go it will be because an IUI finally works, and it won't make me sad in the least bit. We have never been anywhere far from home so we are really excited. As to your clomid question, yes. Clomid makes my AF lighter. After being on it for 3 months I go from a 7 day cycle to around a 3 day cycle. After just this last month it went down to 5, only heavy one, med 1 day, then really light the other 3.
Sharon: Maybe by taking a break and waiting for a cycle you can handle you will have a little better luck with the estrogen? I'm not sure though. Sounds weird that they gave it to you if he said it usually doesn't help.
AFM: Its so nice to not know exactly what cycle day I am on. I have still been really moody up to a couple of days ago. Usually after the first day or two of my cycle the clomid effects go away and the PMS is usually pretty much gone, but not this month. YIKES! Feeling more like myself now though. Its so nice being around the same cycle schedule with you girls. I think it makes it nice because we know what we are all going through at the same time, the heartache and anger. I agree stay on this thread till we reach the 6 page limit, then restart the thread.
On another note, we are having to buy a new tv probably next month (we still have one of those old box styles that we bought 9 years ago, not the nice flat screen), do any of you have any experience with good or bad brands? We are looking at getting a 46" lcd, but not sure on brand yet?

Lookie, lookie! I finally added a picture. Can you see it? I figured I'm in it for the long haul, I might as well add my pic.
I also stalk resolve.org forums but I haven't posted there yet. They are only about infertility so it is nice to know I am not alone (and I don't have to read the "finally pregnant after 3 long months" crap) but I haven't made any connections like here :D
Tiffany- I bought the cheapest flat screen at costco and it works great. I really don't see any difference between ours and more expensive ones but I am not too picky about the image quality and can't detect the differences with my eyes. When are you planning your trip? I think I need to do the same thing. I'm still torn about what I want to do next. Ignoring my IF (and age) is what I've been doing this month. Pretending it's not there.
Danielle- I hope you are feeling better. Feeling sick AND not pregnant is the worst :|

Sharon: I miss Costco, we had one in Bozeman, now we have a Sam's club. There is a Costco in Pocatello (about 50 miles away) and they are building one in Rexburg (35 miles) Sam's is really similar. Anyways, thats what we are thinking of, is Vizio which is their cheap brand. As for our trip we are thinking of going either in October (around our anniversary) or early part of November (before thanksgiving travel rush).
Danielle: Hope you get feeling better soon (forgot to say that earlier sorry).

Thanks for the well wishes ladies. I am feeling better today.

It's good to know that you both have had similar instances with Clomid. I was a little worried. I've never had a period THAT light before. There isn't any problem with my lining being thin cuz I asked at my last u/s. I was right on track for thickness. Oh well. Maybe taking another break from it will help a bit.

Tiffany: I'm super excited for you! Where are you thinking of going? Make sure you check out any resorts on Trip Advisor. Just remember that some people like to complain no matter what. You can get a decent idea tho of how the place is. I've never been anywhere either. Maybe one day...

Sharon: The only bonus of being sick and NOT pregnant was I could drug myself up with Nyquil and Advil cold & sinus. :)

AFM: I doubt I'll be keeping up with you ladies in my cycle. Since I'm not medicating this month I have no clue as to what my body will do. I rarely ovulate on my own so I may be in for a loooooong cycle.
I heard from my RE about my specialist appt. Yay! Appt is next week on the 24th. I'm nervous but excited. Hoping to finally get some answers.

Danielle: YAY! Its so nice to have a date isn't it? I hate waiting to find out, then waiting for the appt, then waiting for the procedures/test etc, but at least you finally have a date!!! I was looking around a little more last night, and as of right now we are thinking the Cayman Islands. Its either there, hawaii, bahamas, or jamaica, but trip advisor said if you are really looking for great beaches, that cayman islands is just as great, but a little less expensive. We can fly from salt lake round trip and including a week for hotels with only one stop for around 2500 for next November. So really not too bad. We won't know for sure till it gets closer, I'm not booking it till the end of summer since we are still going to try a few more IUI's.

How you all doing?
I've been sick with the worst cold I've had in a long time. I am hoping that maybe my body is distracted by being sick and is allowing my egg to happily float down uninterrupted to meet the little spermies.
Anyways, I think I just ovulated so I should be in the tww. Another long tww.

Sharon: Sorry you are sick. Hope you feel better soon.
I also am in the 2ww now. I haven't been feeling good the last couple of days myself. It was so nice taking this month off. I actually went to an adult store here in town got a little something for him and a little something for me, we went and bought some drinks and have a very romantic weekend. It was so nice not having to worry or anything. I think we are taking a break next month to. I actually went to a very deep and dark place when my last IUI didn't work, some very bad thoughts had entered my mind and we need to make sure I'm in a better place before we proceed with any others.
Danielle: Any news?

Tiffany- I know about those dark places. I try to keep it all in but I was really down in dec and this month is my second "break" month and it is nice not worrying about it. I didn't opk and I haven't temped at all. I only know I ovulated based on cm and we only bd twice around ovulation.

I still don't know where I am going to go after this month. My dh does not want to do ivf and it's still iffy with donor embryos (dh wants a genetic link).
I just try not to think about it right now.

Yay for TWW!! Going to be stalking both of you now.

No O for me. Don't know if I will or won't but I'm not tracking so who knows. My cycles are so wacky I don't know what will happen.

Anyways, I met with the new specialist on Tue. He did ANOTHER saline sono. That makes 3 now. I so love having those. Then he surprised me by testing my tubes at the same time. OUCH!! I was not expecting that. Good news was that they were open this time.
So it turns out that there is a small adhesion in my uterus. There's also a small part of the septum left as well. I'm being scheduled for another surgery. :( He did say that both problems are easy fixes but I still wish that the first surgery had fixed everything. I'm glad I didn't spend the money on Clomid this month since with the adhesion I can't get pregnant anyways. The office is supposed to call me with a pre-op date and a surgery date. Here we go again!!
I'm so sick of all this. All I want is a child of my own. I wish I understood why I keep being tested like this. IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!! :x

I know you both understand. Thanks for listening to my rant.

Where is everyone? I'm all alone! What's the news? Are you both in the tww now?

Got some good news. I think my body might be ovulating on its own this month! I'm shocked  I've been having ewcm the last few days and my ovaries feel full and swollen like they did when I was on Clomid. We're supposed to be on a break but we bd'd anyways. Just for shits and giggles really. I'm not overly hopeful that anything will come of it but it doesn't hurt to try right? ;)
I usually don't O on my own until like day 36 or more then again the last time I had an unmedicated cycle was in late 2010. I've since lost about 40lbs. Maybe that made a difference? I've heard it can. I was also thinking that maybe the clomid is still in my system since I took such a high dose 2 months in a row. :jump: I don't care really. I may be joining the two of you in the tww soon. We'll see when the ewcm stops cuz that's the only thing I'm monitoring.
Fingers crossed!!

Woohoo for ovulation!

For some reason I am really really hoping for all this to be over and that I am pregnant. I can't handle IF! And I keep having dreams that I am pg but maybe that is because my best friend just gave birth and she is constantly talking about her baby, which I expect.

Anyways, nothing new here. No symptoms but lots of hope.
