A Whole New Kind of Disappointment

Postby Baby_Bumble_Bee » Fri Mar 16, 2012 4:21 pm

I'm sorry I just need to rant a little to get this weight off of my chest.

There is nothing more frustrating then to be TTC for over a year and not...or so I thought. I believe I have found a new kind of frustration. TTC for a year and then going for all the lab work and appointments and finding out that you are completely fine!!!!!

I'm not saying that I want something to be wrong with me, but I also dont understand why i'm not getting pregnant which is making it that much more frustrating. I do everything right, changed my diet (lost the excess weight I needed to), Eat healthy, exercise, use OPKs, baby dance way more the neccessary. I just feel like the world is kind of against me at the moment and I dont know how much longer I can stay positive.

Thanks for listening and if you have any advise for me to get through this please please please share :)

Hi Baby Bumble Bee-
I totally understand the need to vent. I am in the same position - albeit TTC #2. But we are coming up on a year this month, and all tests point to unexplained secondary infertility. I'd so much rather there be something WRONG with me, something that I could work to fix, than knowing there is nothing I can do than what I'm already doing (which doesn't seem to be working!)

I wish I had more advice... but for me, I'm just trying to keep trying and have faith that some day soon it'll happen.

do you guys take any herbals or suplements to help with fertility? and have your partners been checked cause we as women always thinks that it is us when its not.

Unexplained infertility is really, really tough to deal with at times. We've been trying since 2007, and have really never gotten a great diagnosis. Everything looks mostly fine, except for a few immune tests we had done. But it's hard to know what to believe, b/c apparently the immune issues affect a large portion of women anyway.

It's hard to go to battle when you don't know your opponent!

Good luck, I hope your dreams come true soon! :luck:

Thank you all so much for your support.
My DH is going in for testing next its just difficult to get him an appointment because of his job. He works 12 hr 6-7 times a week so finding time for him to get in is tough. I am holding my head up high and got a +OPK a few days ago and BD like crazy! So hopefully it will happen this cycle...

I have try red raspberry leaf tea for awhile, but that stuff was nasty so I only drank it for a few months before I gave up on it lol. Any recommendations??

Unexplained is so hard to digest, sometimes I think if someone told me a for sure reason why I havent been able to get pregnant I would be able to move on to adoption etc.
For you if DH hasnt been tested yet then your not necessarily in that category. I hope eveything goes well. Some clinics will let DH take care of things at home and then you can drop it off at the clinic lab within a certain amount of time. Just something to keep in mind.

Good luck
