New to the boards - TTC 18 months

Postby Puppy Mom 85 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 6:44 pm

Hello everyone. I decided to try the boards as the blog page has quieted down with the regular ladies. It's mostly women who have only been trying for a few months.

I'm not sure if I get all the fancy things that can be done in the boards but I'm mainly looking for people talk to. After all this time of charting and using my monitor, DH had the nerve to say tonight it will happen if I just relax!!

If I don't get my bfp this month I have a dr appt March 10th and I am goi g to push hard to try Clomid. I need to try something at this point!

Today is CD 20 and 3 DPO. I never got a peak on my monitor so I'm hoping I truly O'd. Temps so far suggest that I did but they remain close to the coverline so I'm still pretty nervous.

My bbs hurt off and on so much I just want to cut them off - but I've felt that before so I don't think it's a pregnancy symptom but hopefully an indication that I O'd.

But why am I worried? Cuz if I relax it'll happen. Ugh!!

Thanks! I have found that the each month I grow more and more impatient. This cycle I even poas 2 DPO! I knew it would be negative but I needed to see it. I finally bought Wonfos off Amazon so it's cheaper and I don't have to feel embarrassed buying them at the store all the time. I'm going to try to hold out to Saturday which will be 7 DPO but it feels so far away!!

Hi Puppy Mom! I was really intrigued by your post b/c we have also been TTC x 18 months. Plus, I'm guessing your username may mean you are already a mom to one (or more?) puppies. I am also a mom to 2 loving dogs already; just hoping to add a human child to the family! :-) I like this thread because it's more relevant to me than people who have just started TTC.

My husband hasn't given me the "just relax" line, but my PCP actually recently gave me that advice. Thanks! I hadn't thought of that one. Ha!

I hope that if you didn't get the BFP last month that you get wonderful news very soon - I certainly know the feeling.

It's so nice to have recently found this website. I had never posted anything until today, but it does really seem like a positive, supportive environment for sharing our journeys. Best wishes to you and your hubby! :-)

Hey puppy mom! This is cycle 30 for me, def not happy about it. I had to chuckle when I read your husband told you to relax. My dh told me the same thing. Funny story.... So after 20 mos ttc dh had a SA done which came back HORRIBLE. My doc said our only hope is ivf. So, it got us thinking. He has 2 kids from a previous marriage. She cheated all the time. Guess what? Kids arent his, according to DNA test. If we would have just "relaxed", we never would have found out they weren't his, and that we need ivf. So the whole "relax" works for some but not for all. I have dh on fertile aid now, so hopefully his count goes up! Fx for all of us!!

Hi Wildcat and Leilani!

I haven't posted anything in a while - so here is my catch up. I had an ultrasound after telling my gyn that something wasn't right. The ultrasound resulted in finding some fluid by my uterus/ovary. I was told to check for ectopic but it was negative. You know the sad thing is, I was kind of sad to see the bfn - even though it meant good news...

So the gyn said said no Clomid or HSG until I have an MRI. I went in last Thursday. They gave me a med to help with my claustrophobia but it didn't help. Fortunately after freaking out I was able to calm down and get it done. My head poked out a little. If I ever have to go in head first, I'm going to have to be sedated. The machine was tight!!

So now I'm waiting for the results. Should be any day. I'm hoping for an oops it was nothing result.

I have "come out" to a lot of people about this journey and although I got some well meaning suggestions, like hold a baby to jump start you reproductive system, a lot of people have been very supportive. I think it helped people understand why I'm not dying to be with their new borns...

Every few days, I unlock the pink trunk I got to start my baby hope chest. I look at the onsie with the little yellow ducks and hold it to my chest and remind myself that through all of this pain, I will keep trying.

I'm sad a lot lately which is why I haven't posted anywhere. I don't want to bring other people down.

But to answer the question Wildcat, yes I have 3 dogs and chickens that live with me and 1 dog, cat, and rabbit at my mom's. This site is definitely great for venting and finding support. I tried some of the other blogs but they have so many posters and I couldn't keep up with everyone.

Leilani, I can't believe the SA and DNA results!! How is your DH doing with all that.

Well that's it. Just waiting to hear about the MRI...

Good luck ladies and I'll let you know the results.

Hey puppy- I'm glad you are getting answers! Sounds like your dr is proactive. Ill be praying your MRI comes back normal. I'm glad I don't have claustrophobia, I am deathly afraid of heights. Like I pass out if I get higher than I can jump lol.

DH was out of his mind pissed off an hurt. To make matters worse, we still have to pay child support. So I'm beyond mad. It's ok, God willing we will have our own
