Low hcg

Postby mtw878 » Fri Apr 08, 2016 12:42 pm

p 3 days ago and am so excited but so nervous. My hcg at 12 dpo was only 20. 48 hours later it was 40, and I know doubling is good, but I'm still really worried that it's so low. I found an article on a fertility clinics website that said if Hcg is below 100 at 14 dpo the pregnancy is probably not viable. I have PCOS and it took us a long time to conceive and I just want this baby so badly I'm terrified of losing it. Has anyone had low hcg levels and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

There is always hope as long as your numbers are increasing. Betabase is a great resource that shows how real, successful pregnancies can vary so so much. an hcg level of 20 at 12 DPO is not that far off from average. Maybe your little bub implanted a day late.

Any updates? I know this a scary time and I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I had a beta 4 days later and it was 235 so a doubling time of 31 hours! That made me feel a little better. My progesterone also increased from 30 on Tuesday, to 45 2 days later, to 57 4 days after that. The earliest my doctor will do an ultrasound is 7 weeks so I will just be holding my breath for the next 13 days. I'm tempted to go to one of those lab test places and get an hcg test sometime this week just to put my mind at ease. I know how bad stress is for the baby but it's impossible not to worry. I'm 5w3d and I have no symptoms aside from sore boobs and very light cramping occasionally.

YAS to the increasing hcg and awesome progesterone! I didn't have any real symptoms until around 6 weeks so don't add that to your worry list just yet. Keep me updated, girl, I'll keep my hopes high for you!
