Postby Ttc8mnthboo » Wed Jan 18, 2017 5:25 pm

Hello there, me and my partner have been TTC for 8 months now, we are currently gearing up for ov as we had a flashing smiley face today, today being cd11 (26/27day cycle) we are using ai and inseminated CD 8,cd 10, cd11 and we will also be insem tomorrow to really increase our chances. Has anybody else got experience using ai who has finally managed bfp? Thanks I'm advance

Are you tracking your temp so you can verify when ovulation occurs for you? The flashing smiley means you could be 4 days or so away from actual O. Assuming you O in 4 days, tonight's sperm could live that long, but probably not in great numbers. The ones from the previous days would likely not. Once you get a solid smiley, that's definite go time and you should get as much in as possible once you see it, as you will likely O within 2 days of the solid. I hope that helps!

Everyone is different, but I usually have a 27 day cycle and O on CD 16. That means CD 13-15 are most important for us to BD, and to add a little extra insurance, we'd BD CD 11, 12, and 16.

Hi beecee, we haven't been tracking temp as my partner works silly hours so temping wouldn't be a good idea but we are pretty sure we have narrowed down the o, we had a smiley flashing yesterday, now with the pink CB digital it's just a circle today, so will see our donor tonight and maybe tomorrow but am hoping the stationary face appears soon :-)
