I have some good news for you guys! I was on a forum elsewhere and we were doing this biggest loser type thing. Ladies kept having to drop out because they were getting pregnant! Many of them had tried for months and months to conceive and had been unsuccessful. BUT after a month or two or three (some were right away, some were later) of their new diet and fitness regime they got preggo!

I know for my sister-in-law.. both of the times she got pregnant, she had lost about 5-10lbs beforehand.

She miscarried a few times before her first pregnancy, but as soon as she lost just 5lbs, she got pregnant.
With her 2nd... she started to lose some of the weight she gained from the first pregnancy, think it was about 10lbs she said, and then BAM.. she got pregnant.

Wish it was that easy for all of us!

Thanks! This is great news ladies.

I was going to start a thread asking this very question.

I have lost near 12 pounds this past month & 1/2.
I am near to the 7.5 %(of your start weight) loss mark. Supposedly that's the magic number. I have about a pound to go to reach it. I'm not planning on stopping there but it's a great first goal.

My nurse /midwife was telling me the other day "well you know you weight could be a major factor,"...... Grrrrrr! at least she was gentle about it.
We'll see if it works.

How many pounds do you all want to lose? I think 35 would be mice for me. About a third of the way there.

Here's something a friend (who is also trying to lose to TTC) sent me. ... 9504.shtml

PS. You can mail in for the McDonalds game pieces, no need to tempt yourself by going in.

i wasnt overweight to begin with (in fact, a coworker suggested that maybe the reason i wasnt getting pg was that i was TOO thin) but wen my boss started spreadign around that it looked like i had a baby bump i quickly lost 10 lbs and got pg within 3 months.

granted i WAS on clomid.. but it was the 5th cycle. so i still think the weightloss helped.

or maybe it wasnt even so much the actual weight, but the healthier eating and being more active that helped. just a healhtier lifestyle.
