hey pp i was too going to use them i've heard or read good things but what detoured me was i only want to loose a little wieght so it wasn't good for me but i was reading and the side effects are horrible if you don't follow exactly so be careful, one of them that scared me were wet farts or something to that effect, more of the runs if not followed exact. just be careful

Yeah, you have to watch your fat content with Alli. I'm eating all my "fat" foods up this week before I start

I tried alli not long after it came out over the counter. And yes...wet farts...I messed up a few clothes....gross I know. You have to NOT eat anything with fat. I gave up and threw it away. I'm not good enough to follow it. Is it safe while ttc?

I was thinking of trying it, but actually went the route of watching my calories and working out.

I had wanted to try it until I learned about the whole s/e part about getting the runs, pooing on yourself, etc if you eat anything fatty.
Yeah, no thank you.

Why even take the pill. Just cut out all of the fat on your own and I'm sure you'll lose weight that way as well.

i actually did this and if you follow the diet you wont have any problems with "wet farts or pooing yourself". i actually lost 5 lbs the first week with this, but i also got bad headaches and had to stop taking it. now that i think about it, the headaches could have been from quiting pop cold turkey while doing this. i actually thought about doing it again but i dont know if it would be safe while ttc.

Ali is exactly the same as the prescrition drug Xenical , i used to take Xenical and it was very hard to get on with i lose 12lb in one month which was fab but down side it the wet oily farts that go through your clothes and your practilly shitting out oil it isnt nice but it does work , they reckon that you should have more than 30g of fat i think it is but even eating hardly any you do get that affect...

Hope you get on ok with it Jen

Here is the thing with all pills
no matter what pill you take as soon as you stop taking them you will gain back all that lost weight plus some I hate diet pills and will not take them

I took alli a while ago and used it with weight watchers. It's very compatible with that diet. WW works well anyway and is a low fat diet so I thought I just needed a boost. I didn't have any uncontrollable farts or poo, but the poop I did have was, uh oily (depending on what I ate). You have to take it with every meal so often times I forgot to take it and I would "cheat" and not take it if I was gonna eat something really fatty.
