Has anyone tried it and had success? I was reading about it and thinking about trying it out. Would love to hear feedback and success stories.

Thanks so much.

I did it once before, I still have the books. But I am too much of a carb addict for it. I can manage for the 2 weeks but once I am "allowed" to add them back in I end up going overboard. For me it works great as a quick I need to loose 5-10 lbs in a short time but I suck at following the plan long term.

Thanks for getting back to me. So what did you eat for the first two weeks, if you don't mind me asking?

I am a lunch meat person for work. So I used green leaf leattuce a lot to make wraps with it. Turkey w/ light mayo, ham and cheese, just basic but it worked for lunches. And since I only had to for 2 weeks I did get slightly sick of it but not to bad. Plus at around 150-200 calories per wrap it was easy to space out and have 2 of them for "lunch" and not get hungry.

Breakfast did egg, more eggs, and more eggs. I like veggies so just mixed them in for different flavors. Peppers, onion, mushrooms, spinach works too. No fruit for stage 1 so that was no fun but once stage 2 hit I added that in.

Kabobs, baked chicken, grilled chicken, steak (lean) or even I did bunless burger with 90/10 ground beef. Also south beach and atkins make salad dressings and other flavor things. Yes they are "stage 2" for southbeach but I cheated a bit. Also they have stage 1 meals in the frozen food area which was great for work as well.

If you go to sparkspeople you can pick low carb for meal ideas and try to find ones that work too besides what southbeach's site says.
