will you still be TTC while on the HCG diet? I've known a few people with success on this diet, but don't know anyone who's tried it while TTC. Good luck!

Nikki~ Are you doing the hcg diet? Are you doing injections? I'm asking because I have done 2 rounds of the hcg diet with injections. If you test shortly after your injection you WILL be a BFP....I always did. ;) I liked the rapid results of this diet, but will admit I've gained back about 15 lbs since stopping it. It is SO easy to gain the wieght back if you don't follow the diet EXACTLY. (and it's the holidays, so screw the diet! I'm eating high fat and carbs! lol) I lost 20 lbs each time, so I was down 40 lbs. I need to get that back off before we end up pregnant again! lol

I am on the HCG Diet/Injections AND TTC. I started the diet 24 February. I was 245.8 lbs. I am now 220.2 lbs. SO, that is 25.6 lbs in four weeks.

I do injections m/w/f with m/w adding B12 shots.

I DO get BFP for two days after each injection. But, NOT on digis (I guess due to the amount of HCG injected is too low for digis to pick up.) I talked to the doc, and he said, if I get a + digi, he will just send me for consecutive quantitiative Betas.

The HCG shots themselves won't hurt a baby, but the VLCD will. So, if you do end up prego, they have you add 100 cal/day until you are back at your 1800 cal or whatever is best for your size.

I use app to keep track and makes it SUPER easy to track my calories. I follow the diet to the tee and it has been very successful for me.

Like Jenna said though, if you don't keep up with the maintenance program, you WILL rapidly gain the weight back! I personally don't have any hunger, so I find it super easy to follow. I don't feel deprived at all. I even manage to still go out to eat and just do things that work for me.

I am back down to lower then I was when I got pregnant with DD. But, I would ideally like to do two more rounds before I conceive.

Women typically loose 5-7 lbs /week on this. (Averaged out) The more you weigh, the more you will loose quickly. However, you HAVE to follow the protocol. This is no easy quick fix.

Week 1: 11 lbs

Week 2: 5 lbs

Week 3: 4 lbs.

Week 4: 5 lbs.

I just started week 5 today.

I did the HCG diet with just using the drops under the tongue and lost 15 pounds in a month so I'm sorely tempted to try it again now that I'm ttc and am 20 lbs overweight. Unfortunately the side effects are just not worth it for me. I got a terrible rash on my back that I couldn't get rid of until I stopped the diet. it's not the healthiest diet but if you want results fast and follow it strictly, it will work well for you. Like previous posters said though, you do have to be careful once off of it. I gained all my weight back but I did keep it off for several months before I got lazy. Good luck! Oh, I have some recipes I used that kept me from going crazy from boredom--I have them all posted here if you want to check them out (I no longer update this blog but never closed it down): ... y-recipes/

Thanks for sharing your recipes!! I never actually started the HCG diet and then I became pregnant the next cycle :) but I am doing weight watchers now and I have lost 8lbs in 3 weeks. Definitely not the same results as the HCG diet gives but I'm not complaining :)

Honestly I really think losing weight with a balanced diet, slowly but surely, is the best way to go. So you go girl! And congrats on your little one too!
