So, I figured out that my coffee creamer has to go. I've been using fat free creamer for years, but I drink coffee all day.
500 calories! Just in my friggen coffee! That's gonna be a hard one to give up. I'm addicted. :(

Can you stand it black? Or maybe try to cut back on how much you use until you adapt to black?

Hi ladies, I'd love to join you if you'll have me!

My current weight is 186 lbs (down from 209 lbs in August!) and my goal weight for right now is 150. I'm sure I could go 10-20 lbs lower than that and still be healthy, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I'm also not dieting, just getting plenty of exercise at work and eating smaller portions. Diets don't work for me and often turn unhealthy (i.e. not eating for 3 days, then binge eating), so if I crave a cheeseburger, I just eat a cheeseburger. Fortunately, losing weight has brought AF back... 3 visits in a row so far and getting more regular! On CD 2 of my 3rd cycle since losing weight and feeling strangely positive about this month. Really hoping for a Halloween baby. :mrgreen:

So when does everyone weigh in? I do it weekly on Tuesday mornings right after I get home from work. I work nights and Tuesday mornings are my Friday evenings lol.

Born2BeMommy -- Of course we'll have you :D Way to go on your weight loss so far! Yours sounds very similar to mine. I was around 215 and now I'm in the 180s. That's awesome that AF is lining out :D I weigh in every day. I know that's not always recommended, but if I don't keep an eye on my weight I usually start gaining. It's like I go by how I feel, and I never feel like I've gained weight, so I have a treat here and there until I've gained 5 pounds.

So, last night I realized that I was under eating (I can't believe I just said this about myself). I added in about 400 calories and as of this morning I'm down to 181.5!! I've been stuck at 183 for over a week. Either this was just the way it was going to work out, or I needed to up my calories. I think I'm going to start tracking for the next few days to make sure I'm hitting my goal.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone, still trying to get to know who everyone is but thought I'd explain bit more bout my situation. I'm 28 and ttc#1. We have MI and likely we will need IVF :( have been told BMI should be below 30 before they start IVF in UK and at min I'm way over that. A week and half ago I weighed 198lb and need to loose about 20lbs (if not bit more).... I'm rushing too as don't want to be turned down when I start IVF.... Arrrhhhhh

My problem is I'm lazy and love food( anything that's bad for me)..... I have started a 1200 calorie diet and moderate to hard training 4 times a week (previously I did no training oooppsss). I'm going to weigh myself fri morning as will be 2 weeks since first weigh in... Really hope I lost something.

Bad side is fri night going for meal and drinks with DH family for his birthday so no idea what I should eat and drink :(

What are other people doing to lose weight? How many calories u having?

fedupwaiting, 1200 cals for 198lb is way too low. As some mentioned earlier, if you underfed yourself, your body will crave even more food and hence leads to binge eating.

Here is some basic calculation for Calories, assuming that you don't have any hyper/hypothyroid and have regular metabolism:

At my current weight/height: 129 lbs/5'2"

BMR (calories I burn if I do nothing): 1333 cals
Say, I live sedentary live style (BMR * 1.2): 1600 cals

If I do moderate/hard workout for an hour a day, that's usually about 400 - 500 cals per hour.

So my daily allowance is 2100. If I want to lose 1 lb a week, 4 lbs a month (which is a lot for 129), I build in 500 cals deficit. Simple, either I eat 1600 a day and then build the deficit with the workout or I eat slightly less without workout.

Also, I am used to cut weight before so I know our body has retained a lot of bloats or waters. Once you clean up your diet, you will notice that you lose a lot of weight (not the 1 lbs per week as planned). This can be simply that your body retained a lot of water. One way to lose water weight will be to eat clean (less sodium) and drink a lot of water. Believe me, I can lose 6 lbs of water in 2 days or 10 lbs a week in my boxing days (not recommended though, just saying that when you start cleaning up your diet and go with low carb/low sodium, you will lose a lot in the scale simply because you lose the bloat).

Fedup -- I'm trying to maintain 1200 calories, but if I reach 1200 calories and I'm still hungry I will eat fruits and veggies. Normally I go over 1200, but I make sure it's only with fruits and veggies. I never try to ignore my hunger or cravings. If I'm hungry, I eat, but only fruits and veggies. I should probably add in that I'm not really exercising either. So far I've been doing this all based on diet. I just started counting calories again yesterday. I had quit a few months after doing good. I thought I had a good idea of what 1200 calories were, but I was wrong and have been eating less. Possible cause of my stall. When are you due to go in for your IVF consult? Don't give in to temptation at the restaurant! Look for a low calorie section or salads. I always try to avoid those rolls they bring out. I could eat the entire basket :doh: Also, before I go to anything like that, I enjoy a hefty meal of veggies and fruits. If I do that I'm already kind of full before I go. You can totally do this! :)

The main things I've been doing to lose weight is cut out dairy product (I did this because of my endo), cut out red meat (bad for endo) and poultry (for personal reasons), cut out all processed foods and most canned items, cut out sugar except honey, and I only drink water. I have to add in here though that I made all of these changes over a few months. I started with dairy and worked my way through the rest. Of course, I didn't just cut them out completely. I've had a little of each thing, aside from meat, on occasion. In fact, I have pizza once a month. Pizza is my guilty pleasure. I also try to allow myself to have 1-2 small treats a week.

And I don't know if anyone else would like to do this, but I joined a website called Dietbet.com for motivation. You can join a game with a bet as low as $10 or as high as $50. I mostly do $10 bets. I really don't want to lose my money so I've been sticking with it well.

Thanks for the advice ladies... Maybe 1200 is bit too less, going to maybe look at upping it to 1500 after a couple of weeks :)

If you girls like tomato, avocado, and raw spinach, I highly suggest trying t all together with a little salt pepper and crushed red pepper. I hadn't before today and I'm in love!! Had it for lunch and plan to have it with dinner again :)

Well my weight is horrible and no where near yours but have lost 8lbs so far on my 2000 only diet a day. I am wanting to try and work out more where we live.

Thanks. Ya I need to lose about 120 and its soooooo hard. My hubby is a bean pole and as I have become a stay at home wife and mother I have gained weight.
