I have a huge problem with controlling my dinner portion! I behave all day (not starving, but being careful). Then dinner time comes, and for some reason 2 cheeseburgers seems reasonable. Lol

I'm the same way, and I've found that eating big through out the day with fruits and veggies helps. I buy 2-3 bunches of bananas and 3 - 5lb boxes of cuties when I grocery shop. With a family of three they last a week or less. And I eat a huge majority of them. Hasn't seemed to stall weight loss for me though. Those two fruits are my favorite because they're fast and easy.

I like fruit and veggies, but I always seem to forget them at the store.
It's funny. I always make sure my girls eat a balanced diet, then I pitch it out the window when it comes to me. "Mom, can I have a twinkie?" "No, sweetie. It's not good to eat sweets before bed" meanwhile, I'm thinking 'Im totally getting a twinkie when they go to bed'. lmao!

the problem with me is that I can't work out after ovulation :(.

I mean I am (was/used to be) an avid runner. I could have lost the weight (or at least stop gaining) but my Dr said I can only exercise 3 times a week, 30 min each. Even then, it has to be moderate exercise.

So that means no more long running, no more speed running, no more spinning, no more power yoga/hot yoga.
I find it hard to maintain my weight with this and the only way I can think of is to control my diet. TTC is hard....Every one around me is trying to say that it's ok to be chubby or fat right now...as soon as I have the baby, I can go back running again.

I am trying to be content but it's kind of scary to see the scale to go up every week and yet, I'm not pregnant yet :(

Oh BichonFrise, I think I would love it if a doctor told me not to go on long runs, or spin classes or hot yoga! Because than I'd have an excuse for my lame-ness

Kidding aside, it has to suck to give up your hobbies when you don't want to and want to express my sympathy.

My problem is getting my butt in gear. I've recorded my pathetic attempts to excercise in my FF chart. Which reminds me, I walked the dog for at least 40 min I think last night (granted lots of stops for her to sniff) do you think i could count that for my chart?

I'm also doing the weight tracker chart in FF. My current goal is 127 lbs which is very reasonable for my frame. I'm not actually far off from that but everytime I get within a few pounds of goal it creeps back up again.

Oh, how I wish I was even close to that. Lol
I'm at 198 now. I'm 5'9", so 160 would be a healthy weight.
I started at 240, so I'm still miles ahead of where I was. I was so happy to see a 1 as my first number. Lol My 8 week goal is to hit 183. I think that's pretty obtainable, and realistic. Then I will jump from there. :)

here is my situation. Before TTC, I was 108. The first cycle TTC back in June 2012, I was 118. The first MC, I was 125. The 2nd MC, I was 128. Now I'm hoovering at 129 and I'm only 5'2". I really think I need to get back to 125...but everyone told me to stop exercising. I honestly think that they remember me back when I was a boxer (I used to do hardcore stuff). It's so hard to be so fit, able to run at ease to now do nothing and doing yoga (the light one at that).

Actually today, I just had it. I actually went running faster (definitely more than 140 bpm). Probably my last medium run then go back to yoga again :D. I am convinced deep inside that my MCs is not because of my exercising (how could it be when I did nothing after the BFPs and my BMI is pushing to 24/25). But I don't want to disappoint DH & my mom. They keep telling me to stop exercising so I do, if anything, it's to calm their anxieties :). My Dr also told me the same so I figure I should listen. I think when I was 118, my period was so regular. I got my BFP when I was running 6 miles and the MC happened when I stopped running altogether 2/3 weeks later. Ah well...TTC is a confusing time hahaha...sorry for my long ranting..

Why did your doctor think it better for you to stop? I would have figured exercise would be good.

I'm at 183 and my goal is 130. I set FF to 125 because I know I'll settle when I get within 5-10 pounds of my goal. I did pretty good today as far as food goes. I need to start adding in exercise more regularly though. I also wanted to share some tips that are working for me. I separated my food from DH and DDs foods. Of course, I prepare their food, but during the day I'm not as likely to snack on their snacks if I don't see them when I go looking for stuff. I keep large bowls of oranges, apples, and bananas on the counter and in sight at all times. A lot of people say not to do this, but if I'm hungry or start thinking about food obsessively, I eat, but I only eat fruits and/or veggies.

My Dr said that hard exercise can suppress hormones. so she said no more than 3 miles when I am running and do it at lighter pace, like I can talk while I'm exercising (and also try to limit only 30 mins, 3 times a week).

She only told me this after the 2nd MC. Before MC, I had no hard restriction other than no contact sports (i.e boxing) and decrease mileage while TTC. Maybe I am falling under high risk category because of my age. She also said the chance of MC for the next pregnancy is 30 %. I am still due for testing next week so this is the precaution that she tells me over the email without any blood works. I definitely hear you about how it's healthy to exercise everyday.

I do yoga everyday though, not hard yoga or anything like that. It hardly burns any calories, I only do it for releasing stress and increasing my blood flow but I definitely will not lose any weight with yin/gentle yoga :D.
