Thanks for the PM - I'd love to join if you'll have me!!

I lost 42lb between Jan-Sept '06 and took a bit of a break - just started again and had forgotten how hard it is! I'd just about maintained until Easter, when I put a bit back on :x I've got 39lb to lose until my first target (the weight at which I'm allowed Clomid, if I need it) and a whopping 117lb to lose before I'm at my ideal. I have PCOS which has exaserbated the problem, but am on Metformin which is helping!

So, am I eligible?

Welcome Jill! So glad you joined us! I didn't know that there were weight restrictions for Clomid. Yikes. How are you losing the weight? Dieting? Exercising? Both?

I am doing weight watchers ... today is my first day back on it.

I had soy milk and a banana w/ peanut butter for breakfast ... and then I got to work and input everything online to find out that it was 10 points. :x I'm an idiot! What was I thinking!

And today I'll do my first weigh in on my home scale.

I've got (and this sounds really snooty, but it's not, I promise) a personalised diet plan. We paid for a private dietician who specialises in PCOS, and she came to our house, checked out the cupboards and did a type of 'lifestyle audit' - she then gave me a bunch of things that would 'fit' in with me - and it does! Getting started is the worst bit, becauase I go into sugar withdrawal, but it's worth it when the pounds start coming off. I am meant to be increasing my exercise, but it's so difficult to find the time!

I tried WW - I know a few people who had a lot of success with it - but it wasn't for me. Hope it works for you though!

How much have you got to lose?

So, do you have no sugar at all?

I'm 5'5" and currently around 170 (I didn't weigh myself today ... I was too scared) hopefully I'll have the guts to do it tomorrow.

I wish I could get down to 125-130 and stay there, but I'm trying to talk myself into being ok with 140. I guess I have to get back there first, though.

Oh GAWD no! I'm still allowed some sugar, but I have to manage the amount I have in a day, and the type of sugar - so using wholewheat bread instead of white, for example.

The brillance of the plan is that nothing is out-of-bounds - I just have to 'balance' everything out - meaning I can go out for a nice meal and either
1. Eat everything sensibly and carry on as normal for the next day
2. Go to town and have cream sauces/chocolate and pretty much everything else that would be banned on other diets, then have a strict couple of days to follow
3. Have a 'bad' course and a 'good' course.

Its pretty good so far. Basically my body doesn't deal with it's sugars very well - I'm IR, which made putting the weight on really easy, and getting rid of it quite tricky!

I know what you mean about 'being okay' with a 'sensible' weight. I'm under no illusions that I'll ever be a size 0 - and nice UK size 14/16 would be fine!

Good luck getting the guts to weigh yourself today - remember, it can only be bad once, then every 'weigh' after that will show them dropping off!

So, I got on the scale this am after eating breakfast and it was 173.6.

I'm like a diet yo-yo machine. It's so frustrating. But, at least that's over with now and I can hopefully move onward and downward. Lol.

Hi Ladies! Thanks for the PM, Jen! I definitely need to get back to the accountability. I started off strong in January, and it just kinda fizzled. My class is finally over, so now I have the time to focus on exercising and eating better!

I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning to see where I'm at...haven't gotten on a scale in a while.

Thanks for the invite, Jen! I'm definitely in. I started my 'lifestyle eating change' (I refuse to say 'diet', the word conjures up negative feelings) about a month and a half ago, and I've lost some weight. I'm not sure how much, maybe just a few pounds. I try to go by how my clothes fit. I could stand to lose about 50 lbs, ugh. I need to get my a$$ moving and start exercising.

I just hate to sweat. : |

Hi girls! How's everyone's day going? Mine is going along ok. Last night I had a massive headache last night and woke up to AF this morning. Hopefully the headache was just pms, because it was awful.

I'm doing good w/ WW points. It's hard being so hungry, though.

How is everyone?

I was so proud of myself today ... I went to a lunch meeting with some clients ... to Legal Sea Foods. I always, always get the fish & chips. But today, I got baked scrod w/ brown rice!

Aren't you proud of me? :D

Hi guys,
I'd like to join in. I've been ttc for 18 months now. In the past 9 months I have lost 60 pounds on Nutrisystem. I have a weight loss profile there under the name jtcozmo if you wanna check out my pics and what not. I need to be down another 25 pounds to be out of the obese category which is what is best for infertility treatments. I've had a basically fertility work up and everythng has come back normal. I am thinking of buying the clear blue easy fertiltiy monitor, does anyone else use this? What do you think of it? Well, keep losing the pounds girls, as it makes ttc easier and more fun. . . lol. . . at least it did for me.
