Christie – I think keeping a food log will help me. I’ll do my best to post what I eat on a daily basis from now on…even if it’s bad.

Jsilly – My favorite icecream is Butter Almond from Breyers. I think I eat a bowl of it every night.

Well, this morning I ate oatmeal with brown sugar and bananas and drank water. I think that’s a good start. We’ll see how the rest of the day goes. I think I need to pray if I want to stay focused. :praying:

Well, I weighed in at 154%. I lost a half a pound this week, which is a miracle considering how I have been eating. This morning I finished my chocolate milk DH got me (lots of calories...not a good way to start) and had a granola bar. I am usually fine until nighttime so that will be my challenge.

I have a goal to be under 150 (149 lbs would be fine) by 9/1. So....let's see if I can do that. It is only four pounds and losing 2 pounds per week would get me there!

Time to do lots of laundry and Nason gets to go into his sandbox and pool today. A huge mess as he will need a bath before lunch and that leaves my bathroom filled with dirt and sand. Oh well....

I will post again later....do you think we should start a new thread?

I'm know I'm new here so if my opinions should not be warranted, let me know. But, I think we should start a buddy group. That would be awesome.

Ok so I had a veggie wrap for lunch. I'm still feel hungry though but I'll try to tough it out. I'm probably not hungry but because I'm a wreck right now (an I'm an emotional eater), I feel like I have to eat.

I'm doing my best here. I think it's a great first day so far. I'm going to try to exercise tonight after I make dinner. That way I'll eat as soon as I'm done exercising so I won't eat as much.

I changed my dinner to peanut butter. By the time I had Nason fed and the clothes off the line, I didn't feel like heating any food up for me. I hope that I don't get too hungry tonight.

Now...I have really been trying not to take tylenol because I take way too much of it, so I have been trying to workout. This has made a huge difference with the pain in my hip from lugging Nason around.

If you have a weak stomach....don't read. Deals with lots of baby poop!

So...today I put him down for his nap. He is just sitting in his crib reading and such. I workout. I have a video monitor but can't see anything close up without my glasses on. I am about 15 minutes into the workout when I look at the monitor more closely. Nason has his hand in his diaper (normal behavior if he pooped) and I headed upstairs to check on him. I could smell the poop in the stairwell. When I opened the nursery door, poop was smeared all over the crib, his toys and Nason. It was a cakey poop and not easy to deal with. I brought Nason into the bathroom and put him in the tub, clothes, diaper and poop and started to wash him off. Now...I had to clean out the tub and give him a fresh bath because the water was just filled with poop, so I had to call my DH. I could not put Nason in the crib and wasn't sure what to do. I had to scrub out the tub, change the sheets and wash Nason a second time. By then, naptime was officially over. Poor boy has been pooping all afternoon and has a diaper rash. I will check him again when he is sleeping to make sure he didn't poop.

For those that don't know, baby poop left on the skin can cause a burn, like sunburn. When Nason was in daycare, they left him in poop so long that he ended up with a first and almost second degree burn on his bottom. I brought him to the doctor to verify that. The day care told me it was the diapers that caused it. They said they never saw anything like that before. Anyway...my boy is in his crib for the night (hopefully) and he had his fourth bath of the day. I am pooped! (Ahhhh...no pun intended! :D ).

Motherhood is not for the faint of heart! (or stomach!)

So....onto another day!

Hey, ladies!

I am SOOOO behind on posting my food but I have still been tracking it in my journal. I will try to catch up and post everything as soon as I can but if I get behind too many days, I may just go from here. My laptop is still down and usually when I get home from work the last thing I want to do is sit in our home office at the desk top. Hopefully, I'll get my laptop repaired soon or get another one. I'm still VERY busy with work...I'm enjoying the overtime pay (time and a half) and the experience I'm getting but I am EXHAUSTED.

Let me tell you ladies though...I am SICK & TIRED of being F-A-T!!! :( I am overweight and carrying entirely too much weight on my short frame. It's not only unhealthy but it's making me unhappy. I've never felt this way before about my weight. This is the heaviest I've ever been and I don't like how I look in any photos (and of course everyone wants to take a photo now that all cell phones are equipped with them). I guess I have a combination of all the biggest motivators...1. I'm sick and tired of being overweight, 2) I hate the way I look in photos and 3) I hate the way my clothes fit me. I have vowed not to buy any new clothes in the size I am now...I want to reward myself with new clothes in a smaller size as I start to lose the weight. Once I have started losing enough, I'll do a shopping spree for a new wardrobe. Okay...enough of my pity party. Thanks for bearing with me and letting me vent.

Chrisite, how have you been doing? Are you keeping busy during the 2WW? I'm proud of you for working out more. :jump: I watched some of John Adams while it was on HBO. You're right; it was really good. Paul Giamatti did such a good job. I know you asked me in PM how long our TTC break will laast...I decided today that I am happy we aren't trying again until January because that gives me five months to lose some of this weight. I DO NOT want to get pregnant while at this size. I'm already heavy and cannot imagine adding pregnancy weight on top of this. My target areas are my stomach, arms (very flabby, no tone or definintion whatsoever right now) and breasts (I really want them to get smaller).

Jesse, you've been doing really well with your eating. :jump: I haven't watched Becoming Jane yet...maybe I'll do that this weekend if I have a chance.

Denise, :welcome: glad to have you join us. We can and WILL all be successful in our weight loss.

Christie, I think we should start a buddy group and come up with a name all our own. What are some of the suggestions we've had so far? I'll think of some to contribute as well.

Jay & Nicole, hope things are good with the two of you.

Christie, thanks for the reminder that motherhood is not for the faint of heart or stomach! I hope Nason feels better soon. I only have a gag reflex when I hear someone else vomiting/gagging and when our dogs get sick. Everyone keeps telling me I'll get a tougher stomach and thicker skin once I have children because I can't vomit everytime they vomit...I hope they're right! LOL! :D

I had a peanut butter sandwich (and am hungry now!).

Denise: Excellent eating!

OK....let's get Jesse's input about a buddy group and then we can pick out names!

Thanks about Nason~! I think when it is your own child's poop and such, you do what you have too. I am amazed at what women can do when they have too!

Jesse: How are you?

I have been doing The Firm workouts and some by Madeline Lewis. She is excellent.

Hi ladies!

Denise, I have never tried Breyers Butter Almond..it sounds heavenly! You're a fellow Wii Fit user???? Woo hoo! Me too...I love it. Today I was just so tired and out of it to use it..I knew I'd be falling all over the place..you'll see in my eating/exercise post. You are eating very well! Wow, I'm ashamed to post my food today..LOL!! But that is good, because you ladies make me think before I eat so that's a good thing.

Christie, Yikes! You poor thing having to deal with all the poop and watch him at the same time. One of my sisters did the same thing Nason did when she was a toddler. And my mother cleaned her up thought she got everything. She goes into the bedroom and starts smelling poop, looks behind the door and there is where my sister did finger painting with her poop. She left my mother a very smelly picture. LOL!!
That's horrible that the daycare left him in his poop that long! Poor baby...you must have been livid.

Bailey, you are always welcome to vent! We're here for that, venting and supporting each other. I'm just like you. I'm trying to lose weight so I won't be even fatter when I'm pregnant. And then I think of after I give birth, being a new mom and trying to lose the weight and I want to cry. I'm trying to get muscles in my arms and lose my stomach rolls...they are huge! And all my family and friends love taking pics (they all of course look great) and then I get the pics emailed to me and cringe and don't want to even look at them. I'm horrified when I do. Well, I just want you to know, you're not alone and we'll all be here to cheer each other on.

Jay & Nicole, I hope you're both well!

Ok, let's do a buddy group! Hmmm, do we want to incorporate Losing Weight and TTC or just Losing Weight? Because if it's both we can name ourselves Losing Weight and Gaining BFP's!!! or something else. I'm not good at this..LOL!

Oh, I'm going to my first acupuncture appt tomorrow!! Yikes, I'm going for all my problems, stomach, weight, acne, headaches, sinuses, fertility, etc. etc. I think I'm just stressing too much and it's causing all of these problems, so hopefully the acupuncture will help. I'll let you all know how it goes. Anyone ever do acupuncture??
