Days left to my 20s...

Postby Shannon88 » Thu Oct 28, 2010 6:22 pm

I turn the dreaded 30 in December and I am NOT handling it well. I had a birthday party with 15 of my girlfriends planned at the country club and I told my husband to cancel it all. I told him I would rather use the money towards botox.

Anyway, I thought for sure I would have at least 2-3 children by now and I guess technically, I did give birth to 2 children, but only one was living and since losing my daughter, I have had 3 subsequent MC. I know there is another forum for that.

I guess I just keep reading about all these statistics and how many eggs the average woman has at age 30 and it's totally freaking me out. Since the last MC, I haven't been able to get pregnant at all and we have everything going ~ fertility monitors, fertility drugs, timing exactly right, literally all the stars are aligned and it STILL isn't happening.

Anyone else have similar feelings about not fulfilling their plans or totally freaking out about turning 30? We are on a doctored ordered break for this month in prep for the HSG and lap and something with a laser on Nov. 10th. I heard that your fertility increases by 20% which is great but I just feel like each month that passes, I am aging a million years with each AF.

So sorry to read about all your losses, especially your beloved daughter. :( I was just lurking a bit in here, but I am turning 35 this month and starting to friek out a bit....only 5 more years until I turn 40!!! OMG!!!! I think you are still so young (wait a few more years, and you'll see what I mean) I would LOVE to be 30 again. ;) Wishing you lots of luck on your TTC journey, I do hope #6 is the charm for you.

Yes, I actually just started feeling this. Until just recently, I never thought about how after 30, egg quality/quantity goes down each year and rates of birth defects go up. I have one child, too, but I wanted 3 total and thinking about TTC 2 more in my thirties makes me worry. urggg
