That is so amazing! I didn't even know that was possible, but I actually talked to my doctor just yesterday and he said the same thing. I have an appointment with the fertility doctor on Monday. It may not be necessary to do any intervention, but my regular obgyn thought it would be good to get the ball rolling with a specialist just in case. I'm still having up and down days emotionally, but overall, I feel better knowing what the problem is. For a little while there I felt like I was unraveling. I found out that two of my sisters in law are pregnant in the span of a week and I was just overwhelmed with emotions. I'm so excited for them, but they both got pregnant right away and it was just a muddied feeling of happiness for them and sadness for myself and DH. I'm trying to stay positive and just keep thinking that it will happen in spite of the obstacles. Thank you all for your amazingly sweet posts. They help me so much. Much love and baby dust to you all!!!!

Laparoscopy

Postby JustAddBaby » Mon Aug 06, 2012 6:22 pm

Hey Ladies,
So I had my first appointment with the fertility doctor today and he recommended that I have a laparoscopy to go examine the blockage. Apparently, if you have one bad tube and one good one, you're chances are actually better if you remove the bad tube all together. The bad tube can back up with fluid that spills into the uterus, making it difficult for the egg to implant. So they want to go in and see what is going on. There is also always a chance that they could fix the blockage, depending on how bad it is/where it is, etc. I was wondering if any of you have ever had one...What was it like? How was the recovery? I had an appendectomy a couple of years ago, so I know in general how it will be, but there was a whole other trauma that accompanied that, so I think it was a bit worse than this would be. Thoughts??

Thanks!!!
