French! I'm glad you're going in to get checked up! I totally understand your nervousness but the good news is hopefully you can get a plan of attacking should your doctor think intervention is needed. Of course we all hope not!

Those symptoms sound good but it is cold and flu season! It's so hard to decide what could be a pregnancy symptom or just common illness. I really hope for you its your bfp! Let us know how your appointment goes!

I'm recovering from the flu at the moment but doing well otherwise!
Hubby and I have decided on the name "Hayden" but we haven't chosen a middle name yet. Complete toss up right now.

Always - I'm glad to hear the provera got you started on a new cycle! Are the cycles getting any shorter now? or still quite long?

French - I really hope this turns out to be the BFP you've been waiting for!! FX~~ Keep us posted!~

Sorry I have been away so much ladies! I keep trying to get on here at least once per week but it doesn't always happen. Lots of prep left to do before baby comes.

That's stinks you were sick. The mom I nannied for always got sick while pregnant and it was the worst! Glad you're feeling better!

My cycles are still quite long so that sucks. I had a really rough end of January but I'm doing better now and may be moving on to clomid next cycle. Also we are scheduling a semen analysis for dh. I've been taking OPKs this cycle just because (usually they don't work well for pcos) but I did get a positive today (Valentine's Day!) so I'm praying it's legit! We will see though!

Oh Valentine's day +OPK! That is kind of like...perfect timing. LOL. That's stinky the cycles are still so long. Are they consistent at least? (Even though long?) I don't have PCOS, but my cycles ran longer then "average" so I always O'd roughly the same time. But I didn't figure out the late O until AFTER we had the miscarriage and all that and it was cause I used OPKs.
We are getting closer and closer to D-day over here. Its exciting but also nerve wrecking. LOL.

Dh's family was in town so the V day opk wasn't as epic as it could have been lol. Last time I got a pos opk is was a mean trick my body played on my so I'm hoping this time is different.

Woo! You're getting so close! I can't imagine how nerve racking it is! Do you still have stuff on your "to-do" list?

I'm sure there will always be stuff on that to-do list! LOL
We did our prenatal classes this weekend so feeling a bit more prepared, but honestly, how ready can one person be?! These mini people are so demanding. LOL. Right now we are playing the waiting game. Countdown is on to baby's due date (doesn't mean he will show up on that day, but its nice to have a countdown LOL)

That's too bad DH's family was in town for V day. Especially pos OPK V day! Kinda of a mood killer. But what can ya do? Families always going to be around..lol.
Hopefully you guys had enough time to try and get a few private moments together to catch that egg! FX for a shorter cycle too so you don't have to wait as long to test!!
Are you going to keep using the OPKs during this cycle or how does that work for you?

Good point! I'm not sure anyone can ever be fully prepared. You do what you can and hope for the best! I'm glad you realize that though! I have a friend who was totally clueless and she has a rough first few months. And yes, countdowns are good! You need to have "a light at the end of the tunnel" so to speak.

Yes, DH and I did get some time together to celebrate and such... Haha! As for the OPKs, I probably should have kept testing because of the hormone roller coaster that is pcos but I'm naively hopeful and I only had 5 left and didn't want to buy more. I have had sensitive nipples though and that never happens so I'm hoping I really did ovulate. I guess time will tell!

French, how did your Dr. appointment go?

Hey everyone!
I have literally read this thread from beginning to end and felt your journeys. I am so happy for the positives you have received!

Me and my boyfriend are currently trying to have a baby and have been since 12/16/14 and still no luck. So hopefully soon, as we are very anxious to start a family.

Oh forgot to mention that right now I am in day 13 of my cycle. So still have a bit to wait and see if this month we hit the baby lottery! :)

I am happy I found this forum as you guys are so supportive.

Welcome Kristine :)
Give it time, and the BFP will come!
Being patient is the HARDEST part of TTC.
As is the last week of a pregnancy. Someone get this baby out...NOW! Ugh. lol.

Yeah I am figuring out that I am not one of the lucky ones where it happens the month you get off birth control. I believe this would be the 4th go around so just have to wait and see.

I took BC for 9 years before going off of it in October of 2013 to attempt to get pregnant.
We got a BFP in December of 2013 but I ended up miscarrying in Feb of 2014. It was the WORST experience of my life. And I think it was because I had been on BC so long that my body didn't know how to reset and maintain a baby. So even though you are taking a bit longer to get that BFP, be happy that your body it taking its time to adjust. I don't wish for anyone to go through what I went through to get where I am right now.
We are expecting this little man any day now, with his due date only 6 days away now. It will happen! Be patient. Its all part of the journey :)
