Morrigan,

I am glad to hear that your husband joined you too. Your are right that chopping cantaloupes in the morning does take some time. I've gotten pretty fast at it but often times I will do several if I have the time and put each in it's own tupperware in the fridge.

A Veggie Burger you say? Well that's not bad because it's probably about the same calories. However, I will always say non-processed foods for a diet before processed foods. The first two weeks of dieting or this diet rather are a detox for your system. BUT whatever you can do to stay within the same amount of calories you should see results. I also think that if you have to bend the rules a little to keep maintain your current routine for convenience then do. How true you want to be to these meal plans is up to you. Also, I found that the way I survived the diet was by taking fruit snacks with me everywhere. I mean really it seemed like I had food on me all the time. My favorite togo snacks where grapes, strawberries and apples because I didn't have to worry about too much prep or packaging. It was like wash and go.

Good Luck and I hope you get a surprise :bfp: when you go to POAS!

Morrigan and Teaching Mom,

I forgot to tell y'all that you can always repeat a meal if you wanted too. I noticed that sometimes I was worried about some of the "diet" food I bought going bad so I would eat the lunch or dinner or whatever from another day so I could use it and it not go to waste. And sometimes if I felt like eating whatever I had on day 8 on day 15 for example I would do that.

Here's my update. I officially started AF today. Not as bad as usual either as far as cramping goes. I did however spot from about 3dpo until I got AF which really bothers me. Never had that happen before. So after AF leaves I am going to schedule a doctor's appt. Also my cycle lasted 27 days time instead of 26 which I think is kind of good. It let me know that my Luteal phase is definately longer than 10 days.

This is what I decided to do different this month. I am temping or at least trying too. I jumped out of bed today before remembering to do that so I laid back down and took it anyway. If I can't remember to do that, I'm going to probably invest in the OV watch thing. I ordered more OPKs (wondofos) off of Ebay. I started taking EO today and will take until O along with the low dose aspirin everyday. I learned about false unicorn root and decided I would take that too but I couldn't find it locally so I ordered it off line. It's a tincture and will probably taste horrible so I'll probably get some gelatin capsules to put it in and swallow it that way. And probably more importantly, I am going to try to uplift my spirit about TTC and trade in my despair for some hope. (Mother's Day kind of bummed me out about my MC.) I worked out really hard today and that made me clear my head and feel a lot better. I also want to start the diet on Wednesday and focus on being healthy and fit.

I look forward to reading everyone's updates. I have my fingers crossed to see some :bfp: real soon! I have been sick so I'm trying to get over it. If I missed anything, I'll be back tomorrow!

Morrigan,
I have to take the time and chop everything up at night so all I have to do is throw it in a pan with egg beaters in the morning and pack in our lunch boxes. I only eat the eggs and v8 at home in the morning I am not a morning person so I'm doing good to get the eggs made. I take the rest to work with me and snack on it all morning. I can't imagine chopping mine and dh's every morning. I'm actually glad day three is apples it'll save me some time tonight.

I worked in the yard on Sunday and I'm so sore I haven't been to gym this week. I have blisters on each hand and my back is super sore. I'm going to try to go tonight but we'll see. I figure it's best to work it out some.

Luna~ I'm sorry you had such a wacky cycle and a bad mother's day. Hugs :hugs: Hopefully this next cycle will be better. I'm with you on concentrating on being healthy and focusing on being positive. I'm sending good vibes your way.

I have a problem my ex husband’s uncle passed away in a car wreck last night. I was in this family for 15 years and his grandmother loves me. I still talk with her and go visit her at least once a year. I'm trying to decide if I should go to the funeral. My ex is now married to the girl he had an affair on me with. I have worked really hard for the past 3 years and I feel like I've forgiven him for my sake not his but I'm not sure I want to be in that family situation.

As for TTC I'm about to cave and test I'm 7dpo today I was hoping to wait till 9 but I'm thinking I'll test tomorrow.

Moonshyne how are you today?

So this morning I POAS- :bfn: again! Not really surprised.
I did the V8, prunes and omlette for breakfast and left the rest for snacks. The sad thing is that it's now 12:30 here and I ate all my snacks... I wasn't even all that hungry I just wanted to munch on something. Anyway I'm going to have lunch in an hour and then behave myself until dinner time. I should have time tonight to do some prep work for tomorrow!

Luna you are right that veggie burgers are more processed (I checked that it's good on the calories). I haven't eaten meat in years but lately I'm seriously thinking about trying it again. I do eat fish but you can't eat that every day because of the mercury. I think this week I'm going to try eating meat.

Also, Luna sorry about :af: ! How dare she! Let us know if you go to the doctor how things go. It may be a good idea to just check in and ease your mind that everything is OK. I'm also with you in being healthy and I love that when you get upset you go work out! That is such a good attitude! What is the false unicorn horn for specificially? It sounds magical.

Teachingmom~it sounds like you're getting a work out in the yard! How are you doing wih controlling the urge to POAS? I think it would be a really nice gesture if you could go to the funeral but only if you honestly can handle being in that situation. I know it would bw hard for me unless all those feelings were already resolved and far behind me. If you can't go, you can always send a wreath to the wake/funeral or just write a condolence note to the grandmother and let her know you're thinking of her.

OK back to work for me!

Has anyone had implantation bleeding? I had a small pin drop of red earlier when I went to pee for the 100th time today. I don't know if I ever had it before I don't remember it. But it also seems like such a small amount that it's not implantation. I don't know. :dunno: It's so confusing.

False unicorn root:

The awesome page that describe all the benefits of FUR, I can't find now. Figures. Anyways, here's a bit from another page.

Functions of false unicorn root
False unicorn root is another herb from the Native American tradition. It is one of the best tonics for the female reproductive system but it can be equally beneficial for men. It:

■contains hormone like saponins which account for its action as an ovarian and uterine tonic. It is used specifically for uterine weakness and over-relaxation, characterised by a dragging sensation, a feeling of downward pressure in the pelvis, often associated with irritability and depression.
■has been used to encourage fertility in women and treating impotence in men.
■has an adaptogenic or balancing effect on the hormones, helping to relieve many disorders of the female reproductive tract, menstrual irregularities and premenstrual syndrome which are related to hormonal imbalance.
■contains bitters which have a tonic effect on the liver and digestive tract. This will benefit the appetite and digestion and relieve nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy.
■has been used to prevent a threatened miscarriage and stop hemorrhage.

The other page was taking about how it "refreshed" your ovaries so to speak and was great for basically the female reproductive system in whole and great for PMS and cramps. Also on some message boards I read that some women with history of MCs where taking it the first trimesters of their pregnancies. I really wish I would have had it last cycle to see if it would have helped with the spotting I was having.

TEACHINGMOM,

I unknowingly had IB when I got my :bfp: . I noticed a small spot of blood in the panties and though it was BD the night before. Didn't even think it about it being IB but after I got my surprise :bfp: I realize that what it was. It only that one spot, one day. IB is really rare or at least few women notice it if they do have it. And each pregnancy is different but I am so hoping you had IB today. Have you peed on anything yet???

Good Luck!

Morrigan,

Since you don't eat meat, I don't know if I would start trying it again. If you do only go for organic meats. Eating meat after not eating meat for a long period of time can really shock your system (been there) and since you are becoming more intune with your body right now, I don't know if I would try it. The important part of the diet is to make sure you get enough protein so you don't get hungry. Besides fish, I would go for tofu, temp-eh, beans, ect. Also since you don't eat me, I would stick with the veggie burger patties too even though they are processed.

You mentioned maybe doing some weight training. Which is great but have you considered doing pilates or pre-natal pilates? I do lots of pilates b/c it builds long, lean muscle vs. bulk muscles like weight training. I do some weight training for the muscles I want to bulk up but I do more pilates and I have seen incredible results out of a 20 minute routine 3 to 5 times a week. That's just me though b/c I am hooked on the exercises. 3 times a week is really enough. The reason why I suggest pre-natal pilates is because it really focuses on your pelvic region if you get the right routine and that is great for getting blood circulating down to your female parts--which is a great thing for female health anytime really. Just some food for though about your exercise regiment.

Guess who completely spaced on taking a temp today! Yep, me. I am going to have to tape the thermometer to my fore head!

Ok! I got all my diet stuff today. I am starting in the AM. Starting weight is 152lb. I think I will make my goal weight 135lb but I would be happy with 140lb.

I had another fabulous workout today. This time DP and I went for bike rides and we discovered a park close by that had a labyrinth. It was a short adventure but did so much for my spirit.

So how the diet going? I thought day 2 was one of the hardest b/c the lunch is so small that day.

Teaching Mom, Did you test again????

Teachingmom~did you POAS yet? I'm anxious to hear any news! I did this morning but once again BFN (today is 10 DPO). I am pretty sure I am out but I am OK with this because I think I might be better off getting pregnant after losing some weight and exercising some more. I'm still going to POAS until :af: shows only because the Wondfos are there. I don't know when to expect AF though...

Luna~Thank you for the info about false unicorn root. It sounds very promising (especially for the miscarriage prevention which is something I'm really interested in).

Diet stuff- I ate some chicken last night-only a very small piece and yes it was organic. It wasn't too bad and I think I will add small portions of meat when I can and see how my body reacts to it. I'm really tired of the processed foods and I've been thinking about trying meat again for a while. I've been a vegetarian since I was 22 and then about 2 years ago I started eating fish. So it's been a long time but overall I have to say my diet has become too carb and dairy heavy which is really not healthy or good for weight. I'm 5'9 so I don't look super fat but I do look chunky and I would like to lose at least 30 lbs. Thank you for the pilates suggestion-I will look for a DVD I can do at home. Does it strenghten your arms because my arms are pretty awful.
Diet's going pretty great, I lost a little more than 3 lbs since Sunday! Thank you for sending weeks 3 and 4, I read over them and may stick with weeks 1-2 for a while only because I hav so much weight to lose.

Sorry for taking up so much space on diet stuff I'm just so happy to be finally doing it and I really think it will help with TTC and having a healthy pregnancy!

Hey guys~ I've been on a field trip all day and whew I am one super tired chick. Yes I did POAS I couldn't stop myself anymore and it's was a :bfn: as I figured, I mean I'm still a week out from AF. I'm trying (notice the word trying, I'm a great cheerleader for others but super negative with myself) not to worry to much about it and plan to test again probably Friday.

The diet is going good. Today is hard not b/c of the food but just b/c of the field trip I brought my lunch my salad and beans along but after hiking over a mile up a mountain and playing tug o war parents against students and just plan playing with my students. I am starving. Dinner and bed will be early tonight.

Hey Teachingmom! Your field trip sounds awesome! (I am stuck indoors all day.) What grades do you teach? Sorry about your BFN but you are super early so don't worry! :D I get pretty hungry between lunch and dinner but I've been hanging in there.

Luna thank you again for being such an wonderful source of support!!!

I've been popping over to countdown to pregnancy site, checking on pg test statistics and so on. It is a cute and informative site but they don't seem to have the great groups of ladies that this site has! But I like to check out their info and then come back here for the company.

Technically AF is due on Friday but because I ovulated on CD 17 it may be late. My boobs and belly feel slightly full but no other sx really. I think this may be because my PMS is not as bad when I exercise and eat healthy. I keep googling to see if it's possible to get pg the day after O and it seems it is possible but not very likely so I'm not getting my hopes up. I normally spot a day or two before AF but no spotting at all today! I also wonder if the supplements I'm taking are making any difference.

Are you guys taking any supplements, and if so, what are they?

I teach 2nd grade and it was great just very very exhausting. But I love getting time to just play with my kiddos.

Confession I cheated yesterday I decided to give blood in our school blood drive a few weeks ago. It was the first time I've ever donated and I got really light headed so they gave me a coke and then after words they made me eat this cookie thing. It was full of some kind of icing. I was just going to have the pretzels but the guy in charge said I need more sugar than that and to eat this and gave it to me. I then went home and slept for over an hour and I was drained all night. So today instead of day 4 menu we are following day 5 today b/c I just didn't have it in me to cut up all that cantaloupe last night so tomorrow I'll do day 5.

So I did POAS again why why why do I do this to myself. It was STARK white so of course I'm convinced I'm out. Which really would be ok b/c I'd like to be due in mid March and not early Feb anyway so I wouldn't have to come back to school. But at the same time I'm upset it's white. I really don't want to POAS again till the at least Sunday but who knows. I'm weak. :( when it comes to waiting.

Has anyone heard from Blison or Moonshyne?
