teachingmom~I hope the weepies are a good sign for you! :jump: And either way I hope you feel better today. Your "major cheat" was unavoidable, I'm so glad we're doing this together and everyone is having weight loss already!

luna~I woke up at 4am (like clockwork) and took that temperature. I'm gonna go on fertility friend and track it.

Also, while I was up I caved and took the First Response Fertility Test. As I mentioned it came free with a 2 pack of FRERs I bought a couple of cycles ago. It was just sitting there annoying me so I peed on it. The way it works is kind of like an OPK except it looks for your FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) because apparently
when your quantity or quality of eggs (fertility potential) is low, your FSH level may be high

So if you have no second line or a faint line you're OK but when it's as dark or darker than the control line you have high FSH levels and that may be bad. Even though AF came yesterday I started spotting two days ago so according to the insert I'm on CD 3. Here's my result.

Image

So I'm good. I would not have taken this test if it wasn't already in my possession for free because as mentioned before I do not want to freak myself out but there it is!

Anyway, yesterday was DS 17th bday! Can''t believe he's so old. Tonight family is coming over for cake and pizza. I'm trying to decide if I should allow myself to cheat a little this evening or if I should stick to it. It will be very hard!

Teaching Mom--How are you today?

I heard from Bilson. She said she finally got a neg. on her Betas!

Morrigan--Happy Birthday to your DS. I know it's hard not to cheat. I actually had my birthday party last year when I was on the diet. I took a veggie tray so I could snack on something. It's day 4 for me and I so want to cheat myself but seeing the scale slide to the left is so worth it so I am trying to stay strong. I keep getting headaches which I think is caffeine withdrawal. Ugh! Congrats on your FSH test! I am not going to get one--yet. Maybe later but for now, I just don't want to know. False unicorn root still isn't here. So much for expedite shipping. Hopefully it will be here Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey ladies..I am back..I have been a bit busy as of late. My job was a bit up in the air for a week or so, but that's all sorted out. We are back on the babymaking train (sort of). I am getting laser eye surgery next week, so we aren't trying so much....just tracking where my cycle is.

Morrigan - glad to hear your FSH is good! I hope AF isn't treating you too badly..

luna - where are you in your cycle?

Hi to everyone else!

Totally forgot to temp last two days. ARGHH! Oh well. I still got OPKs. If I think it is absolutely necessary for me to temp, I'm going to have to figure out a way to remember to do so or buy one of those O Watches.

. Hey guys wow we got to a second thread yea!!!!
Ok I posted in pee on a stick but I'll post it here to. Today af is due and I got to thinking if she doesn't show I'll stress all day so I'll test. And I got at :bfp: :bfp: :bfp:
YES I'm freaking out a little. It was our first cycle for one thing for another I had that bad mc back in 06 so it makes me a little scared.

I don't even know what I'm thinking at this point.

So sys that I've had but have tried not to think to much about
the weepies, dreams lots of very vivid dreams of BFP, and super tired but I thought that was everything else in my life, stuffy nose and super smells. But no sore BB's and I haven't been nauseated but I have been feeling yucky since Sunday again I figured it was my sinuses

Bilson-Glad you're back and your job worked out. I'd be curious to hear how your eye surgery goes. I wear contacts and have often thought about doing it but just never got the resolve to do it!

Luna-I totally cheated on DS' bday but I'm back on track now. I actually have been temping-not at the same time every day but I'm trying to keep track of it. It is annoying and my thermometer also takes a while but I'm curious what my chart will look like.

Work and home have been super busy. This whole weekend was DS bday extravaganza, on Monday I was in training and today I got back to work and was just completely swamped. There is so much to catch up at home. I want a maid!!! (Not really just exasperated right now).

I'm on CD 5 but FF claims I'm on CD6 because of when I started spotting. :?

Morrigan - I will def keep you posted on the eye surgery :) I have been wearing contacts/glasses since I was a kid...so I finally have worked up the courage to do it myself.

I am having a difficult time with the temping...I got out of the habit when I got my BFP...so its been tough to remember before I get out of bed :(

So a funny for the day dh still didn’t want to trust the pregnancy test he’s so silly so I got a digi and that beautiful word came up. He said “ok, ok ok were pregnant I believe then he kissed my belly and said I love you little ball of cells”

Blison I’m glad to see your back.

Monica- I totally understand being swamped under.

I stayed home all weekend and cleaned my house. I swear it felt like I hadn't mopped in months. But it was so nice to have a clean house again. My building at school is the newest building and a Green certified building. So we have the stained concrete floors and real sheet rock walls along with lots of other really nice stuff. The bad part of all this means our building is the first to be cleaned in the summer so we have to have our rooms packed up and ready to be cleaned by June 8th. I am trying to stay and hour every day and work on something. But I'm so dang tired at the end of the day yesterday I went home. My goal for today is to clean two shelves in my storage closet so I can put things up for the summer.

I did the curves zumba circuit last night for 30 minutes. It was so much fun. I went really light on the resistance machines but the zumba dancing between was a lot of fun. I'm hoping to keep working out a few times a week but I will take it easy b/c of my leep surgery last year. I'm at a higher risk of incompetent cervix.

Good luck on the tempting ladies and lots and lots of :babydustg: :babydustb: :babydustg: :babydustb: and :sticky:

My problem with temping is that I wake up at different times and they want you to take your temperature at the same time each morning. So I take it whenever I wake up after at least 4 hours of sleep like Luna suggested but I can see temp shifts that seem more associated with what time I took the temp than anything else.

teachingmom~ sounds like you have a lot going on! Hope you can work in some naps. :)

I lost 7 lbs total so far (DS' bday set me back, I was at almost 7 lbs last week but then regained 3.5 and just this morning officially made it to 7. Still 28-33 lbs to go. That's a lot! I've never had so much weight to lose before. I'm going to stay on the first 2 weeks for at least 2 more weeks. Even if I get a BFP this cycle, by then I should have lost at least 10 lbs total and that's a definite improvement.

CD 7 I think - now have to wait to "O"...

Hope you ladies are doing great! What CD are you Bilson and Luna?

Teaching Mom: How are you doing?

Bilson, ya still busy with work?

Anyone heard from Moonshyne?

Morrigan: CONGRATS! 7lbs is significant weight loss, especially in a short amount of time.

Temping is a pain in the rear if you ask me and I supposed it could be a pain in a rear if you went that route to get your temp. I actually read in this book I have that some women prefer to do that b/c you get such an accurate read--that's anal--pun intended. Anywho, I have remembered to temp the last two days but I don't temp at the same time every day b/c I usually get to wake up at my own leisure. So I can't really tell anything about my temp reading so far. Does your temp spike right before O and then drop when you O? I forgot how that works. I'll have to google it or look at charts or whatever.

So I am on CD 11 and I had an almost positive OPK today so I'm thinking I may see a positive tomorrow CD 12. (last month postive OPK was CD 13) I have been testing twice a day around 2 and around 8. Earlier I went upstairs to test again since the last one was so close to positive. I held it for as long as I could, collected my urine in the cup, sat the cup down and then knocked the blame thing over when I was standing up somehow. Oh well, I was planning on mopping tomorrow anyways. I wiped everything down for the night and will have to deep clean tomorrow. I haven't noticed any EWCM yet though and I have been taking 2000 mg of Evening Primrose Oil. I bought some Robotussin today and took some of that too to help thin out my CM. I read to take it three days before O so I thought, heck I'll give it a shot. Since the test was almost positive from 8 pm, DP decided we better go ahead and practice BD so we gave that a shot too. Tonight he tried to read the OPK with me for the first time. He said he sees three lines on them. . . you know the part where the swab like thing where the dye comes from kind of looks line.....anyways I was explaining to him that wasn't a line and that they were confusing and he agreed.

So I have lost 7lbs too so far. I'm feeling pretty good about that. I am hoping I see another pound gone in the morning because I walked 5 miles on the beach today. I also got the strangest sunburn due to the application of the spray on sunscreen. I'm going to pay closer attention to the coverage of that stuff next time. So while I am waiting to O and trying to keep myself occupied, I have been trying to tweak HPT for folks although sometimes I think I see the line the wrong spot. I'm still green but I'm learning. It gives me something to do that's hopeful. Seeing a :bfp: is Awesome whether it's mine or someone else's.

Sorry if I have butchered my post with typos or misspellings. It's late here and I'm super tired. I hope y'all have a great weekend!
