Hey ladies!
YiYi- how are you doing. Been thinking about you a lot lately.

Motox- have things gotten better? This economy really sucks. Are you back on sched for FET?

Hang- I'm actually managing with the twins. I lost 50 lbs right off the back but that was probably all the fluid in my
Body from the twins. I would love to lose the weight I put on during the ivf cycles. Hubbie's says I look good but I want to get a but more off plus reestablish my ab muscles. They took a beating from the twin pregnancy and c- sec. Roman has been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now. asha still wakes around 4 am for a feeding and with a vengeance. I understand the DH thing. Mine is super busy because of a promotion. When he gets home he wants to play games on his phone. I finally put my foot down and got him back on sched with the twins care. I would send him to make bottles for the night and he would be gone for an hour. Sitting there playing that freaking game. I would be waiting for him to come back to the nursery to watch the twins so I could also pump breastmilk. So angry by that time my milk wouldn't let down. I getcha with the frustration.

Bristol- please update us on the results. When you log onto FB you can click on the TWW on the left hand side. No one but us can see what you post or comment in there. Others can't see any activity you do there but us. We've tested the crap out of that.

Hey Babatte! I was thinking nobody was going to be coming back on here. I had US and another mammogram and it was negative. They do want me to have another in 6 months. But I was giving green light for pregnancy. Went to RE and I have 12-15 follicles and ovaries good size. I started DHEA and am going to do all I can to make this work over the nex 6 months. DH has agreed to this but for only one more IUI. Since I have gotten pregnant on my own twice I am not as concerned about he one IUI. I am going to do the IUI after three months on DHEA. I am working days and feeling great. I unfortunately have sleep disorder where my breathing is causing me to have many arousals and full blown awakenings at night. Cpap machines treat this too so I am getting one of those. My blood pressure has improved since starting days. So overall doing pretty good right now.I

I took DHEA for five days and stopped. I started having insomnia and terrible bloating which is not good for my blood pressure. Not to mention it makes me irritable.

Hey ladies so out of touch. I need an update Babette I have been trying to follow your blog. Kez do you know gender? Yiyi how are you handling this. Cold? I hope you are taking care of yourself. Motox any FET updates? From experience the more freedom you slowly get with your LO the harder UT us to go back. I thinki am suffering from a little bit of depression. Weather s not helping. I have been taking sleeping pills just to get through the nights as it seems I get very anxious about everything and can't sleep.

:hi: hang, i am sorry about the depression. That is just not fair. Any chance you would have Facebook yet? You dont even really have to do anything with it, but it would help us keep in touch in the private group we have setup :) Yiyi and Kieran too! Anyone else not on it? I hope you can work through the anxiety. Its awful. have you talked to your dr? how much snow do you have? My brother just got back from Canada visiting his inlaws. It was like -20?? ugh. All the pics he sent from taken from INdoors, lol.

Funny, i was just thinking about how it is nice to have R at an age she is "easier" as far as walking, talking, feeding, etc. And how it might be difficult starting again. I have some more health issues that need to be looked into first. There are 2 spots from my last test that show possible displasia (from the ulcerative colitis). I have to have more tests done with a specialist in San Fran. Basically with my history, if there are any abnormal cells showing in the colon, they want to remove it because the risk of colon cancer is very high. There is more to it, but that is the jist. So, after we find out what is going on, we will make some decisions. Dr said either way we go, it would not interfere with getting pregnant. Pain wise I am hanging in there. Ups and downs, but still all in all better than a year ago. I need to get my diet and exercise back on.

Yiyi, how are you doing?

I know its been a long time since most have posted on this site. I am not wanting to get on facebook concerning my fertility stuff. I might change my mind later but I am considering still deleting my profile on facebook. Anyway, in case you guys are still checking in on here I thought I would give a bit of an update. I am doing one last IUI this cycle. I have not done anything since last miscarriage except BD and OPKs used most of the time. These next few months are the last I am going to try at all. If it happens after that it would have to be just pure luck because I am not going to keep up with it anymore. This may seem like a downer post but really I am pretty excited. I am tired of worrying about it and thinking so much about it. I am going for one more IUI which will be with Bravelle only. So, with the meds being about a $1,000.00 alone I just feel like with such a low chance anyway I dont want to keep throwing money away which will be what it seems. I would have done the cycle sooner but I needed to get to the end of my contract at work because I can only miss so much or I lose it. I had been sick so had to take some time already. I have been ovulating on the weekends now for many months so I would have to call in sick for the IUI. Anyway, today showed I had 12 follicles and he said was good for my age and he said normally he sees 3-4 follicles so I felt pretty good about that. However, he pointed out my FSH last time and said that is a factor as well but just the biggest factor is my age. I did not want to check FSH because regardless I would want to go forward based on the follicle count. I dont want to spend the extra money for it. There is one problem this cycle though and that is my husbands been running a temp of 102 for two days now. Everything I have read so far indicates this is a problem and will decrease his counts. I asked the doctor and he said it would likely affect those in about 6 weeks. I did not understand this but he also said hopefully it will not be a problem. Seems like an expensive gamble to get all those expensive meds in me and all those shots just to find out there are no sperms on IUI day. However, I suppose it is a gamble every cycle. He said if I get 3-4 eggs with this cycle I have a 10% chance of it working. I guess with sperm count decreasing I might have even less. I believe I am going to go for it anyway and start shots tonight.

So enough about me. I hope everyone is doing well. Have not heard from anyone in a while. YiYi and Motox hope you guys are feeling okay right now.

Motox- Are you going for FET this year?

:hi: i actually received notification for this ! Good luck with your cycle, I hope it works. Just FYI too, the FB group we have is more private than this site. Its just us on a private page, no one else has access, no friends no wall posts (just in case that helps ;) ) We have some decisions to make after I get my colonoscopy regarding IVF. Will know more in about 2 m.

Motox - I hope you get a good report after the colonscopy. I have just dried up some tears as I went to the fertility clinic to pick up tonights dose of Bravelle. They ordered my Bravelle but the place said they were having a snow storm and could not get it to me before Tuesday. She was going to order from another pharmacy. However, I told her my husband went to the doctor and diagnosed with the Flu. He has been running fever since Monday. She first said I should go forward then went to go talk to the doctor however the doctor had already left. So she asked the nurse practitioner there and she said she would stop this cycle because he might have a dead sample already. So I left without tonights dose so this cycle is a bust. I was also thinking well the doctor had said this fever would likely affect the sperm in 6 weeks and hopefully not this cycle. Well, that puts me at having to postone for a long time I guess because the next IUI would be in 6 weeks. If it takes 3 months to generate sperm then I am looking at 4 months to wait until a good sample. I dont feel I have that kinda time left. She suggested I wait until the next cycle then have him do a sperm sample. If it is good then go forward however even if it is good at the beginning of my cycle it does not mean it will be good at time of cycle. This all just sucks because I am out 350.00 for the lab work and ultrasound and nothing to show for it. I just thought I have 75 of Follistim and maybe I should just take it tonight and talk to them again tommorow about this. I know it is not the 150 prescribed but maybe enough to keep the cycle from being a bust if tommorow the doc says I should go forward that this maybe my only shot. What do you think?

Hi Keirann
hmm, it is a delimma. Do they test sperm before an IUI?? Ive never done one, so i have no idea. If i was in your position, Id keep going on the chance that his sperm could be fine. Yes heat can kill sperm, but id think it would have to be ongoing heat as in wearing tight jeans for weeks..I wouldn't have thought a couple of days of fever would kill them all. I could be wrong. If testing isn't done automatically before an IUI, maybe see if they can test it this time, just so you know if you're in with a chance or not. Yes its expensive to keep going when its a bust, but its only money and you can always earn more, whereas you don't have fertility forever. Good luck whichever way it works out!

I have 8 and a half weeks to go til this baby's due date! (just noticed today is the 8th feb, we are due 8th april..so 2 months left..) Got diagnosed last week with gestational diabetes, but so far so good. Ive been able to keep my blood glucose in the levels they want. I have my birthing class next weekend (our hospital has condensed everything into one day! yikes) Hubby is going to South Africa in 2 weeks for just under 2 weeks for his brothers wedding..im starting to get uncomfortable at night, so it will be interesting to see how I cope with him gone. I have the option of staying with my mum and dad if i find it too difficult, but im sure i will be fine! Haven't started the nursery yet. we have the furniture on layby though..i hope to pick it up before he goes to SA so i can be setting up while hes away!

Ladies it has been a while. I don't get notices. Kez wow time has flown. So excited for you. Kierann what did you decide? Motox any more news?

I think I may try to get on Facebook and use my married name. It is strongly discouraged where I work. Things going better but I may be returning to work ( may notbe myjob) early as money is tight with DHs new business and our new tenants being duds. Just asked to return today so who knows what they will say. LO just turned 7 months on the 24 th. I would like to say it has flown by. Still not feeling like myself despite the sleeping pills. Down almost 60 pounds o I decided to set a new goal weight of 7 more pounds since I passed the last goal.

:hi: Hang :) Would love if you could get on FB. You could set all your settings to private so no one can find you in a search. If you even just joined our private group, everything would be pretty hidden from public view. SIXTY! Whoo hooo, thats great! Will you try to find a different job? I know what its like with starting a business and money being tight. PM or email me if you need help with FB.

No news yet. Have my colonoscopy in a couple weeks. Its been hard to schedule finding someone to watch R and another to drive me 4 hours away. Once we have results of that, I WILL be planning FET. It will be then or never. I will have colonoscopys every 6m, so if this one is clear, we will move fwd if RE and UC dr are ok with it. If they do find something, colon will probably be removed, then I will have a long wait, and will still pray for there to be time afterward. That is my concrete plan so far, I think DH will be fine with it, not sure how to pay for it yet, but we'll figure it out!

Hi girls! Just wanted to update here...(I think everyone but Hang and Yiyi are on FB?) I had my 2nd colonoscopy a couple weeks ago after having polyps removed in Dec. Biopsys came back showing no displaysia. If there WAS displaysia, the specialist was going to want to remove my colon (!). She wants another in 6m. After 3 of these in a year (with total of 99 biopsys) they say you have a 90 something high % chance of catching cancer if it is present. Had 1 in dec,1now and that will make 3.

Once I get my wheat allergy under control again i think we will be doing an FET. I have about 3m for the allergy process, after that I will talk to the RE and get whatever testing they need done, then the colonoscopy in 6m, then FET if all goes well. Getting anxious, hoping things go smooth and we can try again..
