2012mommy - I was in the same boat. Eating well, working out, etc and now a non-smoker...2 days and counting! Today actually seems easier than yesterday. I don't drink so I am lucky that is not a problem for me to give up. I am just hoping that this really helps me get pregnant because I can see how the frustration of TTC will make me want to smoke!!!

I am not testing until 1/31 because that is 14 dpo. Sick of peeing $ away on those sticks! I honestly think my temps are too low for me to be pg anyways. Not that i'm a chart expert or anything. This is my 3rd tww and I already think I'm a bit jaded :)

Good afternoon ladies - happy Saturday! It's sunny out and the temps have warmed here in Chicago, just enough to start melting the bit of snow we had yesterday :)

Amanda (2013mommy) - thank you - I appreciate the positive BFP thoughts!

My temp dipped again and this time it's below the coverline. Temps look similar to last month, so I'm not feeling very hopeful. Unless temp starts climbing tomorrow... we shall see. Last month, AF showed early - I'm really hoping my luteal phase is longer this month and I can get back to my usual 28 day cycle.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend :)

Very upset today. TTC can really take a toll on your relationship. DH and I got into a fight last night. We never fight and I am so upset about it. I think part of it is the stress of TTC. If this fight continues I know we won't be having an "intimate" time and this is the first day of my ovulation cycle. Does that mean one more month of not having a baby? Any thoughts on this or has anyone ever been through this with their SO?

Hey AJS - sorry to hear you guys are fighting :hugs: . Yes, TTC is probably the culprit. My DH and I had a long talk recently and he admitted that he feels like he is failing me each month when I don't get a bfp, that he's worried that I blam him for us not getting pregnant - I had NO idea he felt that way. I've been feeling like a failure and thinking he was just happy to be BDing so much! We really weren't talking about how we were feeling. We had been bickering and arguments were just getting heated. He said he gets sad watching me analyze my temps and CM every day on FF and seeing me cry over it has been killing him. He also said BDing feels like a chore. So, I said I'd work on trying to make it more fun and less stressful. Because he's right - it feels like a chore. You need to have a nice long talk about it. How long have you guys been ttc?

AJS, hang in there. TTC can be very stressful; so don't feel like you're the only one. Like jenblaze said, I found it really sad (and sweet) when DH would be 'down" about TTC. [For me, I'm 5 years older and after the tests, it was clear I was the issue and not him.] I was surprised at how deeply it affected him. Maybe you can plan a date night and talk about things. I'm keeping my FX crossed for you to have a little make-up BD so you can get that BFP! Hope you're doing well with being nicotine-free!

jenblaze, FX for your test in a few days!

Hopeful88 - how is it going for you? How are you feeling?? Have you had a doc appt yet?

I'm not so hopeful for myself - temp took a dive and has only came back up by .1, FF did change my coverline and O date, so that's weird. However, willing to bet the beast AF is around the corner...

Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnndddddddddddd, I'm out. Just started AF (bright red spotting only) at work, along with cramps. This is unusual - this always starts for me at night, either right before bed or middle of the night. Day One tomorrow :( I'd like to go home and eat french fries and ice cream for dinner and go to sleep. Or Maybe have a nice glass of wine. Really disappointed and it's stupid because I knew AF was coming with my low bbt temps.

Oh well... on to next month. I'll likely be 35 next time I'm in the tww.

:( So sorry, Jen... That is strange...maybe it's just spotting? You could always test if you don't think it's really AF?

And if it is AF....It's normal to be disappointed even if the 'rational' part of your brain knows it's inevitable. Please, please, please have a glass of wine and another for me!

I wish I had temped so I could give you another data point, but I no nothing about it. Hang in there.

As for me, my first appointment is tomorrow. I'm totally nervous and freaking out, but trying to stay positive, but not too excited just in case...

Big hugs to you!

Sorry Jen. Even when you expect AF it is still disappointing :( Jen and Hopeful, thank you both for your encouraging words. I hope when DH gets home from work tonight things will be okay. We had a few short phone calls today and you could feel the tension. This is our 5th month TTC and I can't believe how strong some of you women are. I am already ready to throw in the towel (not really)!

Thanks Hopeful and Ajs so much for the kind words. It's just so much more stressful than I ever thought it would be. Having a small glass of wine makes the pain just a little less dull, it will help my cramps too :)

Ajs - let us know how tonight goes - just take it easy on yourself (and him too). This TTC thing is a total enigma wrapped in a mystery for most men. When I finally sat down and told DH everything that goes into it, he was surprised. He finally understands my nutty emotions and I finally understand how bad he's been feeling about it (it nearly broke my heart to see that he's hurting too). You'll be glad when you talk - it will bring you closer together and will strengthen your resolve to have a little one. 5 months is a long time. This was my 3rd cycle and I am ready to have a good ole fashioned fit! Hang in there.

Hopeful - please let us know how your doc appointment goes - I'll be thinking about you. Sending positive, sticky bean thoughts your way!!

I'm going to finish heating up dinner and cuddle on the couch with my wine and my favorite guilty pleasure - the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I love knowing that no matter what, I'll never be as bat$hit crazy as those women!

Jen, hope you're feeling better after the wine and RHOBH! I, too, have a soft spot for bad TV!

Ajs, hoping things are getting better with you and DH!

So, I just got back from the dr and I'm still freaking out. I feel like I'm in my own TWW except that the T is twelve! The good news: saw a yolk sac and gestational sac and they are in my uterus. Bad news: no fetal pole. We were thinking I was over 6 weeks or maybe exactly 6 weeks. So now, I go back again in a week and hope that things progress. I just wish I could know either way but I guess for now I can still hope for the best.

Anyone have any updates for us?

Hopeful - I'm sorry to hear this, but i think it is true that the u/s tech can't *always* see the fetal pole at 6 weeks.. I've read a bit on it, but can't remember if that is correct. FX for you - I'm sure it is making you nervous as all get out. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts - I hope everything is ok with your next visit. Hugs to you!

AJS - how are you and DH doing?

AFM...I'm feeling better about AF showing. If we don't get pg by May, I already have an appointment scheduled with my doc to see if anything is wrong. You know, they'll see us 35+ ladies after only 6 months ttc :)

Things are much better with us! Thanks for asking! DH has been so tired from work and our hot water heater died yesterday. If it isn't one thing it is another and that certainly doesn't put us in the mood! This the week I ovulate so I told him to go to sleep and I will wake him up in a few hours! Hee hee hee!

Jen- Glad you are doing ok with AF showing up. I find it is disappointing at first but then I seem to start to focus more on "next month" than on Af.

Sue - Keeping my fingers crossed and sending all good thoughts your way!
