Newbie needs advice

Postby katie8374 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 1:48 pm

Hello, I am a newbie who decided to join because I need some opinions and thoughts about my symptoms. Some background: I am almost 39 yrs old. DH is 33. I have had two successful pregnancies and those children are now 20 and 15 yrs old. I am divorced and just recently married my current DH, and we are going to actively TTC this upcoming February. Until then however, we have been NTNP.

My last cycle only lasted 24 days (sept. 2 - 26th). Based on the length of my last cycle - AF should have arrived yesterday the 20th.

I took two FRER's today, and both came back BFN. I feel like crying though because I have these symptoms that are very unusual for me. I have heartburn like crazy which I don't usually get, and for the past three days or so I have had a full/pulling/crampy/heavy sensation in my uterus. The day before yesterday I really noticed my BB's hurting, especially on the sides. I don't have an appetite at all, although I am not nauseous. And then the reason I tested twice today was because of the sudden onset of INSANE fatigue. I just want to go home and lay down :( I've also felt like crying off and on all day today like I am some kind of emotional wreck.

Do you think that even with the two BFN's I took today that I may still be pregnant?

Well, just to give an update to cyberworld..... AF still hasn't showed. Last night I had to get up in the middle of the night to go pee, but wasn't able to get back to sleep. Insomnia :( Haven't had a problem with insomnia for a long while, and it just seems to wierd to me that I would have it especially since I was so tired yesterday and the day before. Obviously I am fatigued today, but it's obvious it's probably from the lack of sleep last night. Took a FRER this morning and it was a BFN. So discouraging. I just wish I knew what was going on. Can't get this metallic taste out of my mouth either.

******UPDATE****** I ended up getting my BFP about 3 weeks ago. I am currently 6 weeks preggers :) I am 39 1/2 years old. We had been actively trying for 8 cycles. I found it rather interesting reading this old post of mine, because I was mainly so hung up on all of those TWW symptoms I had been having. The funny thing is, during the TWW of my bfp I had ZERO symptoms. NONE, ZILCH, NADA, NOTHING. I thought for sure that I was out due to lack of symptoms. It isn't only until just a couple of days ago that I began getting nauseous. I think there had been maybe one day where I was fatigued. Breasts weren't sore, but the nipples were - and JUST the nipples.... strange.

Anyways, I just wanted to give this quickie update because I wanted you all to know that I am thinking of you all.

SPREADING TONS OF BABY DUST TO ALL!!!!!!!!
