Hi

I'm Gemma, aged 33 and my partner is Martin aged 34.

We have been trying to conceive for 6 months. We have a daughter aged 4 years. We are not aware of any medical infertility problems that we have, however we will go for checks should we be unable to conceive by the end of the year. I have been using ovulation testing kits and a. Contemplating using Angus cactus as a friend has used this and this proved successful in helping conception.

Thanks

Hello! I'm actually 29, but I felt I fit more with this group than the 20's group. I hope you don't mind! I will be turning 30 in October. My partner is 45 and we have been together for 3 years. Neither of us have previous children and we have just started TTC this month! I had my IUD taken out July 2nd! As far as I know we don't have any fertility issues, but we are both a little nervous about his age impacting things and also for me, I had a LEEP procedure in April (removal of abnormal cells from the cervix). The doctors assured me it would be fine to TTC right away, but we read stories online of it increasing rates of miscarriage or making it take longer to conceive. Time will tell I suppose....

Hi, all! I'm happy to have found a group with ladies who are also in their 30s and TTC!

I'm 36, my DH is 34.
Married: 10 years, together 12

We started TTC in 2012. I stopped taking birth control and 8 months later I finally got my BFP! My daughter is now almost 29 months.
We didn't really do much other than try to DTD during the ovulation window estimated by calculators.

I didn't get my period again until my daughter was 23 months! We've been TTC since March, although not mindfully until the last 3 months. I haven't been doing anything except keeping track of my period and estimated ovulation window. I just got an OPK which I will try this cycle.

I just take a prenatal.

I just had a chemical pregnancy this cycle :( I've heard you should wait one cycle to try again after, but I've also heard you're more fertile after being pregnant and from other women that conceived the cycle following the CP. Here's hoping! I admit I feel a bit discouraged and I do have anxiety about TTC at my age. I have a fear it may not work. We desperately want to have another, I think if if doesn't happen in the next 2 months I will see a fertility specialist.

Hoping for a #2!!

Hi All!

I did roll call in the General TTC thread but I thought I'd introduce myself here too :)

I had a false start with a bad marriage with someone who decided he didn't want kids half way through it. I never actually thought I'd get to have kids because of that but thankfully I got out of that and met the one I was meant to be with all along and now I'm so excited to try and add kids to our little family.

DP want's to try now but I'm a little worried about finances so we agreed to try in January (however we definitely aren't strict with contraception now!) I am a bit worried about the age thing (32 & 34), but have no reason to worry about anything medically, so we will just have fun and see how we go.

Good luck to everyone!
Gearing up to TTC #1 in Jan 2016!

Hi! My name is Sue, 31 and a half and DH is 32. TTC #1, second month of trying. Currently in 2 ww. Not sure when I ovulated this month, so not sure how many dpo.

I've been tracking my BBT for about 5 months and it works most of the times. OPK (ovulation prediction kits) don't seem to work for me and it only frustrates me. Don't know if I'm doing it wrong. Also take a preconception vitamin and that's all.

Have read the sperm-meets-egg plan and it sounds good. If this month is not the month, I will try it next. Just need to get those OPKs working for me.

Baby dust and FX (fingers crossed).
31 Yr old kiwi girl TTC #1 since Oct 2015. I highly recommend the book. "Taking Charge of Your Fertility", and the "Ovagraph" app.

Hi! I'm new here :) my name is Cristen and my husband is Tyler. We've been trying to conceive for over four years now. Due to male factor infertility. I have two children from a previous marriage that my husband has taken the role of father with when we got married. I also had a baby when I was younger I gave up for adoption (she's 17 and a part of my life still.) So I didn't have issues conceiving in the past. I knew coming into my marriage there was a big chance of infertility issues, but I knew we'd work around it. It's been a roller coaster ride to say the least. Of failed IUI's, failed adoptions and other procedures. We were told he would never father a child unless it was through IVF with ICSI. We've both had all the tests needed and I've been told my body is working great for my age (35.) His we're not sure what's causing it. He is within the normal range but on the low side of that for his count. And his motility is where it's bad. We had the hamster/egg penetration test a few years ago and that's where we were told only IVF would work.
Sorry if I'm rambling this is my first time joining/talking on a site. I thought maybe support from others in the same boat might help me through it.
Anywho.. Recently this year we met a guy that wanted to be our sperm donor. He usually helps lesbian couples and single women, he agreed to help us as well, so my husband could enjoy the blessings of having a baby. We meet up north with him (about four hours away) every cycle with an instead cup. Which is amazing! But every month of negative pregnancy tests and AF coming is heartbreaking. We've been trying for four months now. I started to take vitamins that support infertility to help boost my body. I also started my husband on a bunch as well thinking maybe it'll help him also.
Soo can't remember what else I needed to add in my roll call. My children are 12 and 14 :) And thanks for taking the time to read my long note and I look forward to getting to know you all through our journey.
(My apologies if this is an old post that I'm not allowed to post on, etc)
