Only 33 but high fsh

Postby soskinny » Mon Sep 29, 2014 10:09 am

Hi. I've been ttc for quite a few years and recently got a dark positive on a home menopause test after putting up with two years of severe O pain, daily migraines and generally feeling hormonally off balance.

So here I am with very high fsh (waiting on more tests to determine how bad) but couldn't find posts on here from anyone dealing with this same issue, anyone out there? I'm only 33 so hoping this isn't the end of the road for me but I'm visiting my fertility clinic next Tuesday to check for Ovulation this cycle by ultrasound.

Hi, I just got the results of my FSH test yesterday and it was high at a 12.2. Have you had your AMH tested as well? It is another indicator of ovarian reserve and my last one was a .87, which is low, so indicating I have low ovarian reserve. It is so hard to hear, especially since we are also dealing with MFI. My RE recommended injectibles and IUI, but I am scared that won't even work and I'll need IVF. Let me know what the fertility clinic says when you go next Tuesday. I am going to meet with my dr again to see if their treatment plan has changed with these new results. Good luck to you!

Thanks for replying. I will let you know how it goes. Ive been told above a certain level fsh they won't accept you for ivf. I'm dreading being told that. Are you in a ttc group on this site? It would be nice chatting to someone else in similar situation

Yes, I am in the buddy group called Let's have fun and not go insane in the TWW. It isn't particularly related to my issues, but it is nice to have friends to talk to and we all support each other. Please come and join us over there! I saw another one of your posts about the annoying infertility comments and I have been told the same thing as you about "starting over" now that my son is turning 16. People just don't understand sometimes.

When will you find out your exact numbers? I have been doing some research online and women have been able to get their very high FSH down and have had success conceiving. Are you taking any supplements? I bought CoQ10 and I have heard royal jelly and wheat grass shots can help but I haven't tried them.
