TTC and terrified

Hey everyone! I'm new here and still figuring out the best board to post in but I'm looking for advice, support, and any help we can get. My DH and I are newly married and TTC. He's 36 and I'm 33. We both were previously married and both TTC in our previous marriages unsuccessfully. We are now ready to try with each other and are so scared we won't be successful. Some background... I have a pretty consistent 27 day cycle. Sometimes a few days more or less depending on the stress level of my life that month. I haven't been on birth control in 6 months. I'm slightly overweight but still active. DH is very in shape and very active. Right now all we really are doing is tracking my ovulation with ovulation strips and BD every other day around ovulation. 6 months unsuccessful. Advice? When should we reach out to a fertility specialist? We both want a baby so bad but I'm afraid it won't happen for us.

Hello and welcome, doctors say that women over 35 who have been actively trying (meaning tracking ovulation and BD at the right time) should seek medical help but that is a very personal decision,if you feel that you are not ready to go that way yet just keep trying.
All I can say is good luck and I hope you get your bfp really soon.

hey! welcome to the forum.
Its good to have you here.
well though 6 months are not such huge time period as of your age is concerned you might take some of the hurdles into account.
this is nothing bad as you got to meet your DH and that fate decides when it is perfect time to meet.
wishes to you both.
but as of now. this is the correct time for you to show up to a fertility doctor and work on as he says.
you must not delay more at all this.
he might sort out your issues in the best possible way.
at least get some test done. to be sure about what's the next thing coming up.
