What are your stories? struggles and challenges?

me-23 dh-33 I rarely have AF. Been on Metformin, No luck yet, but I have faith! Started taking VITEX on 1/31/11. Havent noticed anything yet but I am assuming it will take a few weeks for it to kick in, or even months. Starting my new OB/GYN in march because my GYN doesnt practice OB anymore.

I havent had AF since October 2010 when I started the Metformin. Before that it was over a year since I have had it. I have gotten nothing but BFNs for over two years. I am hoping that switching to an OB/GYN is the right move because I am not sure how much more I can take of the BFNs. But I am trying my absolute hardest not to give up hope.

I have done countless amounts of research on how to conceive & if there are certain positions that you can do to make it easier. But there aren't. I heard about Vitex from this site actually, did some research and talked to my doctor. She advised me of the side effects and told me to give it a try. So I am unsure of what my next step is because I cant afford to go to an RE or an RI whatever it is that I made need to go to. So for now I am doing it the affordable way until March.

What are your stories?

DH and I have been TTC for 3 years in April. I was also diagnosed last April with stage 2 endometriosis on my uterus. DH is going for his SA next week so we'll finally see how he's doing!

To say it's hard has been an understatement... I've seen just about all of my friends get pregnant and have babies when I started TTC before they even met their partners. All of them have "advice" and smart remarks for me... I don't think any of them have actually said the right thing once, even though I know not everyone is meaning to be rude (some of them truly are).

DH and I can't afford an RE either, especially not covered by insurance. The closest one to us is 3 hours away so just the gas alone to get there isn't cheap!

I wish I had some advice for you other than to stay strong! Hopefully AF will start soon and you'll get somewhat normal cycles back! :D Good luck!
Lindsay (Mild Endo, thin PCOS, Hypothyroid, implantation failure)
TTC #1 for 7.5 years...

April - November 2011 - 7 Rounds of 50 mg Clomid, 3 IUIs. All BFN.
February - March, June 2012 - 3 Rounds 5 mg Femara. BFN.
April 2012 - "Immune Protocol" Follistim IUI. BFN.
May 2012 - Diagnosed activated natural killer cells and told we'll NEVER conceive naturally... *treatment break*
October 2015 - IVF #1. OHSS. Freeze all. 9 blasts on ice.
November 2015 - FET #1. BFN.
January 2016 - Holy *NATURAL* BFP!!! WTF?! First ultrasound 2/1/2016. Praying for a healthy sticky baby. <3

I know just how you feel, it took me and my husband almost 4 years to get pregnant and i have pcos. We did end up doing IVF. There are some options for ivf you can get a lone which is what i did and sometimes there are free ivf studies, you can look up on the internet to see if there are any studies. Also if you can get your hands on some ivf meds you can possibly get pregnant from just the shots someone my mother works with got pregnant that way. I wish you both the best of luck and tons of baby dust.

We've been TTC since October 2008. So This october will be our 3year TTC anniversary. I hope I'll be pregnant by then...

Our struggles is all me. I have PCOS and I don't ovulate without medication.
I think we tried for about 6 months naturally before I finally gave in and got checked out. I had been bleeding almost nonstop for 3 months straight so it was either think I was dying or suck it up and see what was wrong.
I was finally diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism. was put on 1000g metformin and started on synthroid.
My synthroid was upped twice and I'm now at a decent level and have been for a while now.
My metformin was eventually raised by my RE to 1500. It hasn't done anything for me except give me diarrhea.

My OBGYN tried me on clomid twice and femara twice. I didn't ovulate any of the times.
When I saw my RE... he tried me on a higher dose of clomid and nada. Then tried me on clomid + follistim, but that cycle was cancelled due to poor response, so once again, no O.
Finally he just put me on follistim + micro HCG shots. I'm still pretty resistant to it and require quite a bit, BUT it does finally get me to ovulate.
Last August, I got my first ever BFP, but unfortunatly, it ended in a early/chemical, whatever m/c.
Fast forward to this month Feb.... I got another BFP after doing follistim again. But this one also ended before it even got a chance to begin.

Right now we're on a break until April. My DH's sister found out she was pregnant pretty much right after I had this m/c.... and it's an understatement to say that I'm at a low point right now.

DH & I have been TTC for over two years. I have PCOS I dont understand why it feels like everyone around you is getting BFP's when they just started trying. I dont know what to do, I am going to a new OB GYN the end of this month so hopefully they will be able to put me on the right meds. because i dont know what else to do. im starting to worry that it wont happen. or that it cant happen. that my hopes and dreams of being a mother will be crushed. my sisters bestfriend has PCOS, and 5 months ago she found out she was pregnant. and she wasnt even trying. so why is it so hard for me? I am taking Vitex, for a month now. Im on Metformin. doesnt do anything. I take Pre Natals. What else can I do? I just dont know what to do. I know I shouldnt worry myself but its hard not to. Dh is just one of those guys that kind of i dont want to say shrugs it off but idk. My mother in law, god bless her wants us to have 3, triplets or not. Which is okay because I dont care how many we have aslong as they are healthy happy babies. I dont O without medication either, they put me on Metformin at 2000mg and same thing, nothing but diarrhea.

I am really anxious to go to my OB/GYN in hopes that I will get something that works. My current GYN wouldnt give me any Clomid or Femara. So I found an OB. Just have to wait until the end of this month. I am sorry to hear about your m/c's. I havent even gotten a BFP. So I couldnt imagine what you went through. Since DH & I started TTC 6 of my friends have gotten pregnant or had babies. Its just hard!

Been TTC since December 2008 - almost 2 1/2 years! I've been through all kinds of tests and they all came out normal, so I've been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility." On one hand, it's nice that the docs cannot find anything wrong with either myself or my DH. On the other hand, it's annoying that the docs cannot find anything to fix.

I started 50 mg of Clomid last month and BPN. I am on 100 mg of Clomid this month and had 14 mm and 19 mm follicles on Day 14, so they gave me a trigger shot to make me ovulate. Since I already ovulate on my own, the goal of the Clomid is to help me get two healthy eggs to ovulate. We'll see - it's really hard to get any real hope these days, as I have already had 28 BPNs! I will test for pregnancy in a week if I don't have AF by then.

To top things off, my sister, who is 4 years older than me, decided last month that she was going to sell all of her baby stuff at her garage sale because they are done having babies (they have ages 1, 3, 5, and 7). All of her babies were perfectly planned out, to the month. She even got the sexes that she wanted, in the order that she wanted! To top it off, she has irregular periods! To make things even more exciting, she came to me last week to tell me that she is 5 mos pregnant with #5 and didn't even know! I am obviously happy to be an aunt again; however, this is getting ridiculous. This will be her 3rd pregnancy that I will, once again, not be expecting during, although I would have liked to be. I even gave her back all of her maternity clothes that she gave to me when she decided that she was originally done. It actually feels good to get those out of my closest because they were given to me in a Huggies box....ughhh. Sometimes life just throws you a load of crap:( How are we supposed to make lemonade out of that??? LOL!

You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers, along with all of you other ladies. Infertility is terrible, but sure makes you appreciate what you do have;) Blessings!

waitingtobemommy: I am VERY sorry to hear that. I am brand new to this website, but I see that you are a huge support to the women of this site. I have also checked out your blog and admire your faith. It is great to see other women who also put their trust in God, although it doesn't make the feelings any less intense:( I am so sorry to hear about your recent news of IVF....after reading your stuff, I have actually added you to my personal prayer list. Prayed for you and "onthelanai" this morning, in fact. You both seem to be very involved with encouraging other women and I hope you both will conceive some day soon. God bless you!!!

NTNP since we got married. My cycle varies from 30 to 50 days, so I probably don't ovulate very often. I "tried" one month last year with Clomid, but found it was too hard to keep my focus on life while "trying" and the side effects sucked. This time I'm going to stick it out with clomid and O testing for 6 cycles or whatever the doc says.

Just wondering, how does the doc tell if you have endometriosis or PCOS? Do they have to do an ultrasound or something?
me 34, DH 37 - 7yrs NTNP - HSG normal - SA normal - treating thyroid nodule
