Hi ladies, thanks for the welcome :)

Afireinside - I would agree with what onthelanai said. Over 18mm is generally considered mature.

Onthelanai: good luck for your IUI! Sounds good so far. :)

Mommyinwaiting - yes it is very sad but we have finally found a doctor that we are happy with. Immune issues are not as well known in AU as they are in the US. My current protocol is just 25mg prednisone daily, baby aspirin and 100mg progesterone in the tww. My doc says I can do clexane (lovenox in the US) when I get pg again (he doesn't think I should start before that). This would be a basic immune protocol, then there things like intralipids later on. I haven't discussed this with my doc yet but I have seen it work for a lot of people. Prednisone did bring my thyroid antibodies down so that is something at least. Will be VERY interested in hearing what DR S says about your case.

Sorry about the long post! Have just read back through all your stories and am very sorry to hear how long every one has been trying. So very frustrating and sad. Here's wishing us all some good luck. :)

What is a FX? Onthelanai, good luck on your IUI!!! It's so exciting. I wish there wasn't such a thing as unexplained. I think my body is just stupid and always wants to be difficult! Even with the med, my follicles are too small so if they aren't triggering size by Friday then they will cancel the cycle. Boo!

Just wanted to add this:

A girl in my circle group got a BFP last cycle with ONE follie that was over size 30!!!

So most of the time size and quantity matter, but not always. It CAN and DID happen with one giant follie!

Good luck!!! :)

I'd love a big follicle. Mine are so tiny still. I've been trying to think of ways to make the mature in time and all I've come up with is soy which I don't believe will work so just going to have to wait until next time.

Fire: I too thought that would be too big, but it obviously wasn't for her. Unfortunately she went on to miscarry really early though. On the month I got my BFP I had 5 follies all over the size of 18. One of my follies was also about a 30mm and my RE told me that one would likely be too big to be fertilized. I dont know which follie was fertilized but it "could" have been the big one.

Starz: What have you tried in the past to stimulate your follies? There are a ton of meds out there which could help including Clomid, Femara, or injectibles like Follistim or Menopur.

onthelanai: Hope you hear soon before your guests arrive! My RE office is always "last minute" too. Why cant they just be more organized and call us right away??!!

leaf: Thanks for the info regarding immune issues...I'm definitely going to research it some more and have questions to ask my RE about in regards to this. Thanks for the well wishes. We hope the best for you as well!

Hmm, that's frustrating! I've never used Follistim (yet) so I am not much support. Maybe the follies just need this lil extra kick to get them into overdrive. Go stick yourself, enjoy your dinner, and hopefully you have better news soon!

I went from having barely 3 tiny follies yesterday to having SEVEN today!!!! Two of them are 15mm and the next two are 12mm!! HOLY COW!!

So I hope this question doesn't seem silly but I'm really interested to know:
1. Are you taking fertility meds? If so, which? (sorry didn't look at your sig)
2. Will you release ALL seven follies for sure? Or will only a few be released?
