REALLY WANTING TO GIVE UP!!!!!

Postby MrsSmith13 » Sun May 27, 2012 4:44 pm

Hi ladies! DH and I have been TTC for 6 months now and still no BFP  It's really heartbreaking because I feel that I've been doing everything right! I've been on clomid, 50mg to be exact, charting my temps, using OPKs and BDing probably more than usual. hahaha! My poor hubby is completely tuckered out, but he wants our first little baby as much as I do, so he continues to do his part. Also, I hate to admit it, but when I read other success stories of couples who got preggo on their FIRST MONTH of TTC... It makes me a bit jealous of them and resentful of my reproductive system :x I'm almost to the point where I feel like giving up altogether!!!!!!!!!!!! I just needed to vent. Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,
Heartbroken

I feel your pain.... Dh and i are trying for our first also and everytime the AF comes you die a little inside. I know how much it sucks! I was 2 days late this last go round was staring to feel positive then my friend told she was excepting her 2nd Af came like 5 mins later I about cried. I havent started any
hormones yet but the obgyn is already talking about artificial insemination. I hope everything turns out well for you and we both get our wish. I cant believe you are doing anything wrong but maybe ask your dr or someone else will have some more tips thats why we come here. Support and tips hope I helped some. And trust me the jealousy, I feel it too. 16 and pregnant make me want to punch something. Dont feel to bad its normal

OMG Jessamyn...I HATE 16 and Pregnant!!! That show drives me insane, especially after they have the kid and they complain about how they don't get to go out and have fun anymore. What I wouldn't give to be able to stay in every night because of my new baby.

And MrsSmith13...I'm also on 50mg of Clomid. This is our 3rd cycle, so it's on to IUI after this if we're not preggo this go round. AF is due to show up on June 9, so I'm going to start testing on June 7, I think. I know exactly how you feel about wanting to give up. This whole TTC thing is so frustrating! DH and I have been TTC#1 for over a year and it's emotionally exhausting. I just don't know how much more I can take. But I will say this - I am so glad I found this website. It makes me feel better knowing there are people like me out there. All my friends and family members got pregnant no problem, usually on their first or second month TTC. And of course, they all tell me to relax, it will happen. Well, in my case, I wasn't ovulating so relaxing will not help.

So if this is not our month, we're going to go up to 100mg of Clomid, start the IUI, continue with acupuncture, and go from there.

Best of luck and loads of baby dust to you all :-)

I feel ya. I went off BC in October and thought it would be nbd and happen right away. Then AF came in Nov... and then I didn't even have AF for 5 months. Started taking Met for PCOS in March. Had an anovulatory cycle last month... so finally after 7 months of wanting to even have a chance, I am FINALLY in my first real tww.

I have been so angry at my body for betraying me the past few months. And so frustrated at having no control over the situation. I wanted to cry. I am hoping that things are going to be ok now and it won't take too long. I have one friend who got her BFP on her second real cycle after starting Met and another friend who got her BFP exactly a year after starting Met. Hoping for the latter!

I know people who have tried for years and it did eventually happen! Your little bean will stick when it's the right time! :D Try to relax, it helps! Even this month, my o was delayed (I think, who knows since I haven't had a cycle in like ten years between BC and PCOS)... b/c I was super stressed out right before the o. As soon as the stress was over, I took a three day weekend from work and o'ed two days later. Do some yoga. Have a small glass of wine. Get a massage. Pamper yourself somehow. :) GL and FX!

Definitely did yoga yesterday! It was so nice to stretch, breathe, and forget about TTC for 90 minutes! I'm going back to class tomorrow evening. Luckily, I don't have too much stress now since the semester is over and I'm only teaching one class that meets twice a week. AF is supposed to come around June 9. I'm really hoping the witch doesn't show!

I've definitely felt like giving up. We've been TTC baby #1 since last March. It's been a hard road, an emotional roller coaster, but I just know we will get pregnant! It's just a matter of how and when. I'm a little worried about the IUI because we don't really have the money for it, and we definitely don't have the money to adopt or do IVF. But, my friend who went through IVF said Capital One will give you a loan for just about anything :-) So maybe we'll put a baby on credit???

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Aw, lcp, I hope it comes this summer now that you are a little less stressed. I am a teacher, and if it doesn't come now, I am hoping that the carefree summer will help! I hope the same for you! :D

Samm, I'm a teacher too! I teach English at our local community college. I'm also in school full time for my school counseling degree. I graduate in December so timing is perfect to get pregnant right now...that way I can take February through August off and start working with the new school year.

I'm feeling pretty optimistic this month, but that can get me into trouble. I felt that way last month too, and got a BFN. Just hoping everything I did this cycle worked :-)

I told my hubby the other night that getting pg right now would be perfect so I could do 1st trimester over the summer and not worry about puking while teaching... Apparently, I have come up with a way to make every month "the perfect month" to get pg. He was laughing at me a bit about it. You'll make any month work and it'll end up being perfect! :D

Ha ha Samm, me too! Every month I think this is e perfect time. I guess there really isn't a perfect time. It stills surprised me that you only have a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month. Bizarre.

Good luck everyone! I'll be testing next week!

Leigh, what dpo are you again? I am trying SO hard not to test yet. It's way too early for me... at 7dpo right now. I see you are on Clomid... PCOS? I am on Met for PCOS... was just curious. I think it's funny that I convinced you to test early when in another forum later I was trying to get someone to convince me NOT to test yet. Haha. I HATE WAITING!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and I secretly love 16 and pg. But I will watch almost anything about birthing and babies. DH just rolls his eyes at this point. :)

Ha ha, I secretly watch A Baby Story on TLC, and I'm obsessed with Pregnant in Heels :-) 16 and Pregnant still pisses me off, so I try not to watch it, but sometimes it's such a train wreck that I can't avoid it.

Right now, I'm 6 dpo. I totally forgot to POAS this morning. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow. My doc prescribed Clomid because I wasn't ovulating. I had an HSG and my tubes are fine, and no endometriosis or PCOS. That little egg just wasn't coming down. I ovulated the first month on Clomid, didn't last month, but did again this month. I think there's something wrong with my left ovary because my right one seems to work fine. DH had a SA and he's fine, so we're off to the RE next for some additional testing if this is not our month. Really praying we're pregnant this time!

How are things going with you?

And MrsSmith? Where are you?

I broke and POAS last night and this morning (since I heard morning pee was best). Both were BFN and I swear every symptom I had ceased when I saw that. I know it's too early and I told myself not to get disappointed, but I am. Now I see why women try and hold off. So, I am going to try and wait until Sat to POAS again... that'll be 11 dpo for me. And if it's BFN, I am gonna have a *tiny* glass of wine. :)

So, I am still in the running and trying to stay positive! :D (And GET a positive, lol).
