How long have you TTC?

Postby MommySoon » Wed Jun 20, 2007 2:48 pm

Hello,

I'm curious as to how long everyone has been ttc #1 and how old you are. It seems as though everyone around me gets PG first or 2nd cycle. Not sure if I should be concerned yet or not.

Me: 32
DH: 38

TTC: officially going on 4th cycle
unofficially: since Oct. 06 (took about 3 months off before our Hawaii trip)
ME: 37 (Lauren)
DH: 43
TTC#1
3 Fur babies  (Sheltie, Mastiff, Akita)

IVF
Antagonist Protocal
Possible retrieval dates: 3/14, 15, 16
Cycle Cancelled due to early ovulation - UGH! everything was going so well!

IVF#2 (or 1a if you don't count cancelled cycles)
Long Lupron Protocal
Started BCP 3/30
Start Lupron 4/13
Start Follistim 4/29
ER 5/11 - 7 eggs
4 mature, 3 fertilized
ET 5/14 - 3 transferred
5/25/12 BFP :) :) :)

We are on our 10th cycle, taking a break from opks and temping, and I am 28. It is frustrating when you see other people getting pregnant after a couple of tries.
Current Status: Home with the boys and getting things figured out!

Hi. Our IVF BFP was on our 20th cycle. So, don't be too concerned that you're not getting pg right away. Even though it may seem like everyone you know does, it's really NOT the norm!

dh and i stopped using bc over ten years ago.
the first several years we weren't really ttc - just not preventing it.
the last six years we have been trying on our own without assistance.
meaning i would think i knew when i was o'ing and we would bd.
hasn't worked yet so we sought assistance from a gyne who is approaching the situation aggressively as i am now 30 and dh 34 and it's been so long without the aide of bc and no pg.
i did an hsg(normal results) and hubby had an abnormal sa but has made positive changes to his lifestyle and goes back for a 2nd sa next week.
doc says if we aren't pg by my aug cycle she'll start clomid.
we are very eagerly and obsessively awaiting that first bfp!!

just came up on 6dpo and hoping against hope that this is the month!

This is cycle 11! but not 11 mo. the nice thing about having some closer cycles is that you get more opportunities. so i am looking at it like that. not avaiding for over 4yrs, but really wanting for at least 2 and temping csince oct 06!
me-28 dh-31 TTC#1 since may 06-temping since Oct 2006
Cycle #i lost track

8 YEARS!

Postby emmyrojo » Fri Jul 20, 2007 1:59 pm

We've been ttc for 8 years, but only started IUI this year, going on our third cycle. In the last 8 years 10 babies have been born to our friends and family and five of those were accidents!!!!! I understand how you feel when it seems like everyon is getting pg around you. Keep trying and if you feel the need see a doctor. btw I am 29, DH is 33. at 22 when I had been trying for a year they said "you're young, you have plenty of time" Follow your instincts and do what you feel you need to do, I wish I had!! GOOD LUCK!!!
