Yep. The cycle I got pregnant with my son, I had what I thought were close to positive around CD 11 or 12. I have a pretty regular 29-30 day cycle, so I thought ok, I probably O around cd 14 like they say average is! Well, they went negative after that. I spent a week wondering if I had O'd and then finally got a definite, true positive cd 18 and 19, then I o'd on the cd 20. The opk on cd 20 was negative, btw. Turns out I have a shorter luteal phase than I thought and I O later in my cycle. Or at least I did that month. Since I ended up pregnant, I don't know if AF would have shown up on time!
Have you used opk's during other cycles to compare? I do know that some people get a couple of days of positives before ovulation, some people only see a positive on O day or the day before. If I were you, I'd test twice a day around when you expect to ovulate. You might be one of those people that has a quick surge.
