Hi everyone! I'm a Dec 2009 mommy just starting to ttc #2. I'm still breastfeeding though and I've only had one strange AF, last month. I just started charting again to try to make some sense of my cycles. I'm a little unsure how the heck we're going to fit the bd'ing in (specifically during the fertile time) with a rambunctious one year old but we're sure going to try!!

Nothing really new on my end; still waiting to see what is going on with my wonky cycles while breastfeeding. I'm going to give it another month or two, and if my hormones don't regulate themselves I think I'm going to wean dd then. I don't really want to but time is of the essence with me unfortunately.

That is why I weaned DS at 15 months as well. I wasn't ovulating despite him having been night weaned for a while. Weaning was sad, but good too. It went smoothly and within 2 weeks we were all done. DS is drinking lots of cows milk now and eating a lot more solids.

For us, the night weaning is the toughest part! I work full time, so DD is used to getting bottles during the day, so I could easily wean her from the morning and evening feeds, but I have tried to get her to stop at night and she gets so upset. We co-sleep so she mostly does it for comfort at this point. But she nurses a couple times per night. I've been trying to get her to sleep in her crib more but on nights that I'm super tired it's so easy just to let her sleep with me. I honestly didn't realize it would be this hard. It's such an emotional bond.

I just started charting again a few months ago, and I think I ovulated once in three months. My temps seem to be a little better this month (closer to pre-pregnancy) so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I was thinking about supplementing with B6 or vitex after O this month, but I'm not sure if I will yet.

Diana: That does sound difficult. We co-slept with DS for several months, especially during our moves and when DH and I were apart due to his coming to Italy first, starting his work project and finding us a place to live. We worked on getting him in his crib at night before starting to wean. I am not sure how I would have done it if he were still in our bed. The bb is right there and it's easy access. Let us know what you decide to do and how you end up doing it. Good luck!

I haven't taken Vitex but have heard good results from many people that took it and EPO. I have LPD and have taken 100mg B6 from O to AF/BFP for it in the past. It seemed to help. I've got a bottle of it and am going to start taking it when I O - hopefully in the next few days.

Well, it looks like I'm having another anovulatory cycle. :? All signs pointed to O on CD13, but my temps never really increased. I'm kind of upset because I was really hoping I wouldn't have to wean. It's hard. Since I work full time, the nursing time is a bond I treasure with DD. I saw my OB in early December and she encouraged me to wean asap if I want to ttc. I was hoping we could do it more gradually, but with my age I just can't wait. I'm so torn.

I started the B6, and I'm reading Making Babies and think I will start that program next cycle to try to get my body more healthy. I'm still on the fence about the Vitex. Is it safe while bf'ing?
