TTC #2 after mirena

Postby andreamarie528 » Tue Jun 21, 2011 6:08 am

I am in shock still that we are TTC again! And having total amnesia about the whole TTC process - we tried for #1 for just over 9 months and our successful cycle we used pre-seed.

I had my Mirena removed on May 27th, and have not a clue what my cycles are like currently.

Does anyone else care to share their TTC after IUD experience?!

Hey, I just had my mirena removed 7/22/11. having the mirena for 3yrs i never really got af heavy flow really once a month it was spotting only needing a panty liner. come august after mirena removal I went right back to my normal cycle prior mirena heavy 7 day flow.... my cycles are pretty much regular 29-31 days, just like you I'm in complete shock that I'm ttc #2 I aleays said i wouldn't have no mre after DD who is now 8yrs old, but she convinced me in giving her a sibiling...

Best wishes & baby dust to you!!

We have not started TTC, and I still have my Mirena.... If I wanted to have #3 when DD2 was 2 I would have to get pregnant when she was 14 months...thats like 4 months from now. I wonder if I should get my Mirena removed now or wait until closer.....

I would have it removed ASAP so your cycles have time to get back to normal. For some it may take months.I had the copper IUD (paraguard) and had that removed over a year ago because I knew sometime this year we'd start ttc#4. Amazingly my cycles were completely normal on the iud and right after... I think maybe bc mirena is hormonal and paraguard isnt...who knows. My BFF just got her Mirena out though and right away she got a normal period and 28 days later another AF. Wishing you luck girl!!! :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp: :bfp:

Strongly thinking I might... I worry that sometime between me taking it out and us actually starting to TTC one of us will get cold feet or something about going from 2 to 3 and then I'll be like "Ahhh why'd I take it out!" Because then I certainly wouldn't want to go have another one put back in..Ugh... just wish I could make up my mind 100%.
