Getting pregnant with an active pre schooler around

Postby dreammommy » Thu Sep 15, 2011 11:07 pm

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone else was or is concerned about TTCing / getting pregnant while you have to watch an active 2 1/2 yr old all day and even sometimes pick her up , up n down the stairs or use all your strength to buckel her up in a car seat while she is kicking n screaming !!
It took me 2 years n an IVF to conceive my Daredevil Xena the warrior princess. She runs around the whole day, never gets tired n Sleeping is always a NO......Phew, n to add to this I am a stay at home Mom.

I had a subchroinic bleed in my first pregnancy n had to go on bed rest n give up my job too....But If I get pregnant this time naturally on Clomid n Metformin will my daughter pose any danger to my pregnancy.....she is very active n have to carry her at times (No two ways about that).
Can anyone give advice or suggest articles or books I could read.
Thanks In advance

I don't really have any book to suggest but yes it's possible to get/be pregnant with an active toddler or more.lol. I have a few that I still carry around when they need me to and they are daring like most toddlers are. Lots of baby dust your way.

Most doctors say if you are lifting her before you will be fine during. Have you ever read "The emotional life of a toddler" or checked out the blog http://joyfultoddlers.blogspot.com/ ? They are very helpful, we just talked about those on the toddler boards on the other side.

Good luck TTC #2.. I have a toddler as well, a 20 month old little boy. He's a daredevil but he's my heart
