1 wk and still no results

Postby jessie2354 » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:39 am

Has anyone else had their blood test results take longer than a week? I had blood drawn last wk to try to figure out why I'm having recurring M/c and I called earlier in the week and they said it'd be Friday at earliest.

I'm kinda freaking out though because DH and I decided to try again and I'm CD 9 today. I really wanted an answer before we started trying again incase there is something like a clotting disorder and I could start blood thinners before O to make sure I actually had a chance at staying PG if we were successful.

I am not sure exactly because I have never had the blood done myself. But I believe some specialized coagulation tests can take a week or longer to perform the test, then they have to send the results which can add to the time as well. Fx for you sweetheart.

If you are concerned about a blood clotting disorder, go ahead and start on 81mg of baby asprin. It can't hurt, it can only help. If later you find out that it isn't an issue, you can get off of them, but like I said, it can't hurt. We are recurrent and are always put on baby asprin, then lovenox injections when bfp. Hope that helps! Good luck!
