Ectopic pregnancy

Postby mcbride » Fri May 04, 2012 5:31 am

I had an ectopic pregnancy that rutpured and was sent for emergency surgery. Very scary for everyone. I was the worst pain ever..and I went through natural drug free child birth before...thats how bad it was.
I have been having brown blood everyday since the surgery. My levels have finally (after 5 weeks) gone back down to 0 HCG. When should i expect a period so we can try again.

I'm sorry that happened to you..that happened to me as well. I was lucky it didn't fully burst, but I had internal bleeding which caused me to have pain. It was just two weeks ago I had the surgery..worst pain of my life..they did an D&C as well and left me in pain for over an hour after surgery until they brought me my medicine :x I'm sure I woke everyone up in the hospital that night from the crying and trembling sounds I was making. I'm wondering when will my levels go down too. I only have a menstrual cycle about 5-6 times a year so I have no idea when I will have one again..it comes when it wants..sometimes I only have one 2 times a year..crazy. I can't wait for my husband to come home in October, I just hope I ovulate that month so I don't have to wait any longer to try again. I'm sorry you went through that..it's a very scary experience..especially when the doctors tell you how you can bleed to death in 5 mins (like thanks make it better) Hope you can start trying again soon..that's all I want too :)

Gorgeous profile pic. I was in the same pain. It was such a scary time for me.
I checked today and my levels are zero. It took almost six weeks
I have been having brown discharge since before I had the surgery today is the first day it has slowed down to almost nothing.
My dr today told me to give myself a month to get back on track.
As soon as I have a period they are doing a test to make sure my tubes are clear. I don't want to go through thus again. I would love to keep in touch with you. Someone who understands helps the healing process. If u have Facebook let me know. It's easier to communicate on Facebook. If not I will try my best to keep communicating on here
I really wish u best of luck. Get well soon and keep me posted

Thank you it's my favorite of us :) I know how that feels, it was very scary for me as well. I was in the hospital for 3 days having different doctors tell me different things..then they released me, and I ended up coming back just 2 days later because at night all I could think about was my tube bursting and dying in my sleep..I could barley sleep, it was torture. I have to have some test done on my remaining tube..the doctor said when she did the surgery it was abnormal shaped and short (of course they took the good tube!) so my doctor recommend me to a fertility specialist because there was nothing more she could do for me. As of for Facebook, I deleted it while I was in the hospital..I'll eventually get it back...it was just too hard with seeing my sister in laws pregnancy posted on her fb..we were just days apart in pregnancy so it's always going to be a reminder for me right now. But I am always on here, you can private message me I would love to talk with you..it really does help to talk to someone in the same situation. I'm sorry again for your loss..it was a scary and devastating experience at once...I pray we don't go through that again!!
