Returning to a normal cycle after m/c

Postby LizxPerry » Thu May 02, 2013 5:29 am

Hi ladies, my condolences to us all for being on this board and lots of hope for the future. I was wondering how long it took you to get back to a normal flow? I stopped bleeding about 24-26 days ago after bleeding for almost 2 1/2 weeks (I had a week of spotting before I m/c'd also). I have very sore bb's and alittle cramps here and there, I'm not sure if its her or if theres a light at the end of this dark tunnel I feel like I'm in from m/c'ing, it's hard to get excited because these are all symptoms I felt before I m/c'd in April.

Still waiting to return to normal...I was only 4w, 3d when we miscarried and the Doctor made me feel like a fool for even knowing I was pregnant (how could I not know?!?), even after I explained that I have very regular, short cycles and tested the day after AF didn't come. So she got my hopes up that since in her eyes I was barely pregnant, I would go right back to normal. Still waiting to O...I've had O pains but no temp increase.

I just want to feel normal again, to get back on track to trying. I don't think I'll be able to get over these bouts of depression until we have a healthy baby in our arms. It comes and goes, but when it comes, it's miserable.

I got a BFP yesterday morning and then last night started spotting. This morning I went to the restroom and there were small clots of blood. I am only 4 weeks so my question is...should I even call or go to the Dr? Or do I just wait for this bleeding to stop and hope to regulate again soon?
So heartbroken. :(

BTW - eribear, I'm sorry your Dr made you feel foolish. Us firt timers have no clue what to expect and how to feel and when we are pregnant. I want to hug you and let you know that you are allowed to be sad and that God loves you and so do I.

Thanks, TurtleMomma! I'm torn as to a suggestion for you....Part of me says wait til tomorrow AM, test again and then decide whether or not to call the Dr...the other says Dr right away. When push comes to shove, you have to do what's going to give you the most peace of mind and make you feel the best.

Go to the doctor. I might be being paranoid, but I was spotting, which turned into full on bleeding with clots and I had an ectopic. I'd go just to err on the side of caution.

I emailed my doctor and she wants me to come in first thing in the morning. So, looks like my husband and I will be going in for an eval and possible D&C. I hope everything is alright, just a general miscarriage. I lost all of my pregnancy symptoms and have no sore boobs or nausea or anything. Just tears and a headache.

Thank you both eribear and radkitten. I GREATLY appreciate your feedback and encouragement to get my butt to the Dr. <3, hugs, and baby dust to you for everything.
