Partial Molar Pregnancy

Postby Susy07 » Mon Sep 02, 2013 3:07 pm

Has anyone else had this? I heard a heartbeat for a week and one day I co uldnt find it. I went to the ER and ultrasound confirmed partial molar pregnancy. I had a D&C, and a lap when they thought they punctured my uterus. I'm home healing up now. Has anyone been through similar? I can't get past the ridiculous unlikelyhood of 2 sperm managing to fertilize one egg... It's all so unreal.

Hi, sorry for your loss hun!

Is this what they considered as triploidy 69? If so, my third loss was that...triploidy 69xy (girl). It's when two sperms penetrate on egg or so. It's very rare. I remember my doctor telling us that it's like a 0.01% chance. Also, it will likely never ever happen again..........that's how rare it is.

Yes, triploidy. I'm sorry for your loss as well. Nice that they were able to tell you the sex. Pathology reported "no fetal parts found" in the remains. Although we clearly saw the baby on ultrasound.

I'm about 6 weeks out now. My beta from Monday was 15 so we're in the home stretch.

Hi, I have had a molar pregnancy. So, I probably could answer some of your questions. In my case, I had a complete molar pregnancy. I lost my baby at 8 weeks. I knew I was pregnant by poas & blood test, but I never got to hear a heartbeat or see my baby on ultrasound. It was especially heart breaking. I couldn't ttc for a year & i'm just now getting to a place where I feel I am emotionally ready to try again. Good luck, sending babydust your way
I am 28 years old, dp is 36
