First m/c, chemical pregnancy

Postby Hmld7 » Sat May 17, 2014 5:09 pm

Hello ladies,

I just had my first chemical pregnancy and miscarriage last week. Thankfully the pregnancy was only in its 4th gestational week. Waiting to do a final beta test on Tuesday to see if I need a D&C.

I'm sad, scared for the future, and wondering if I'll ever have a baby. I was hoping there was maybe someone who has been in a similar situation on this board. Would love to hear how you made sense of it all and moved on.

Hi, first I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you're going to get more information on Tuesday. If you end up having a d&c, I will tell you mine was quite easy....much, much easier than the miscarriage I tried to do without medical intervention. You should be able to start TTC fairly soon after, as well, if you're emotionally ready to do so. As for making sense of it, for me I have to believe that my pregnancy wasn't viable for a reason and just hope and pray that next time the right sperm and egg meet!

I still don't make sense of it. I still stuggle with mine and it was Oct '11. It was hard to decide to try again but here we are giving it our all. Different people handle it differently, but for me talking about our Tadpole helps. :) After mine I went on the depo shot for two years. We have been ttc since Sept 2013. I just keep hoping next time it will work out.

I think I might be having one now. I got 5 positive hpt's this week and woke up bleeding today. Hugs!
