BFP pics

Postby tryingnumber3 » Wed Oct 29, 2014 9:40 am

So, I still have pictures on my phone of all the bfp's I got with this miscarriage. I look at them every now and then and see the progression and wonder if there was something that I could have seen then that would have let me know what was going to happen. I know I should probably delete them, but I just can't seem to do it. Anyone else still have pics or their lost bfp's?

I wouldn't have thought so hun. I never did progressions with my positive tests but I had spotting, not great looking betas and was told I was having a threatened miscarriage. I went on to have my son despite the awful betas. He had a genetic marker for infant leukemia but as far as anything looking wrong in early pregnancy there were no real indicators at all.

nothing in my opinion can ever really give you any indication of whats coming. Hope youre feeling better soon. And dont delete the pics if you dont want to. Sometimes its nice to have that reminder that it really did happen xx

Thank you. I think I will hold on to them for a bit longer. Everyone makes such a big deal out of numbers and progression, I'm glad to know it doesn't make too much of a difference.

Keep them.

In a haste I got rid of all my bfp pics, and all the pics of me pregnant till 11w. I regret that. Because, that's the only reminder I had of my baby. I was super upset and grieving at the time. And those reminded me of the baby which equaled pain and I wanted them GONE. Now, I regret that. I regret it because I want to celebrate that life and I have nothing to remember him by. Hide them. Don't throw them out. There will be a day this hurts less. I promise. I am so sorry about your loss.

Thank you for the advice. I almost deleted them all, but you are right. There will be some day that I will be glad to still have them.

I had that same problem, a little while after it happened I found one on my phone. It was just too hard for me to look at, a reminder that its now gone. I let myself heal, looked at the picture and said, I'll miss you, and goodbye for now. In my opinion I had to have closure somewhere otherwise I would never be able to get through it. I couldnt let my grief take over my life, especially with a 2yr old I have to take care of. Just mythoughts though.

I kept mine along with some other things including a letter I wrote to our baby, it doesn't matter for how short a time they were here they will always be apart of the family
