In that devastated place after a loss

Postby CyndiLooWhoo » Sat Jan 31, 2015 7:51 pm

This pregnancy was a happy surprise pregnancy for us! We worried and waited for that pink line as it grew darker and the blood tests that got higher and finally we made it to 7 1/2 weeks and we were ready to see the baby's heartbeat. But the u/s showed that baby had died at 5 weeks 5 days. That was Monday.
There was a bad storm here and I had to wait two days to get checked out. Finally, on Thursday, I got into the hospital for a d&c. I hadn't wanted to miscarry naturally because I didn't want to feel the physical loss of my baby. But my body started to pass the baby even before I could get into surgery. I did have the procedure and I'm recovering now.

I am crushed, just like all of you other mamas here.
I just need support and to be surrounded by people who have been where I have and who have lost that most precious gift of a child.

I want to try again as soon as I start a new cycle. My greatest fear is that I'm older and have a history of loss. If I only knew that I could have another baby, this part would be easier to face.

I'm looking to share hope and to cheer each other on as we move towards trying again.

Thanks for reading.

I am so sorry for your loss. I unexpectedly lost my mom at the beginning of Dec. We got our miracle BFP on Christmas Eve, to only miscarry at 7 weeks at the beginning of January. It has all been a devastating blur. Unfortunately, it wasn't time yet, but it will be soon. Prayers to your family.

Hi GoBlue,
What a terrible thing to lose your mom and your baby!
How are you coping? I spent some time with a friend today but we went to the mall and there were babies every where.
My husband has to leave on a business trip tomorrow and I don't know how I'll get through the week alone.
Thanks for reaching out.
