BFP... Chemical or miscarriage?

Postby Kristannn23 » Fri Aug 14, 2015 4:02 pm

I have been lurking on these boards for quite a while and have finally decided to post in hopes that my story will help someone else some day. My husband and I have been ttc for 3 years. Not a hint of pregnancy, but did have a miscarriage several years prior. I went in for my 10 week ultrasound to find the baby only measuring 6 weeks. So, here we are now. This cycle I saw my doctor at 8dpo and test was negative. 9dpo I had a squinter on frer. 10-12dpo test line gradually darkened everyday. Now, from 13dpo-15dpo the test line is not getting any darker and if I used afternoon urine it is significantly lighter than previous days. I know they say a line is a line but from viewing others progressions, I believe a miscarriage is inevitable. What do you guys think?

Is there any way you could get a beta done? That's a better way of knowing rather than analyzing lines.

Remember that your hcg should increase every two days. I wouldn't use a daily comparison, but rather the every 2 day mark as a visual. I would also definitely get a beta to ensure that your numbers are doubling appropriately. Good luck to you.

If you are unable to get betas, try the clearblue digitals. We don't usually do betas here in Canada but I used digis to watch it go from "1-2 weeks" to "2-3 weeks" to 3" weeks" to make sure it was rising.

To me your tests look like they are getting darker

Your tests look great! They are very dark and at that stage I don't think it's going to tell you anything concrete. Best wishes for healthy 9 months!
