I think I ovulate on my own but I've only just come off the pill which was helping with my pcos symptoms so I'm not to sure :S I'm going to see my Dr after my period to get fertility tested etc so fingers crossed but I'm due to ovulate on the 5th of May. I hope you have some luck too :D

I'd check with your dr because when I start treatment I always start 3rd day of period. And they do an ultrasound day 1-3. Good luck. You should buy some opks on eBay. That will help you check when you O! Baby dust!!

Hi there Ladies,

I am 32 years old. Me and my partner are ttc also, I have polycystic ovaries, but not the syndrome. Me and my partner are same sex, and have been using donor insemination at home for the past 9 months.

I have just changed donors for several reasons and im now in my two week wait. The thing is I underwent surgery to remove my left ovary.

I have pco, using home insemination, and have only one ovary. :)

I have also been told I have polycystic ovaries but not the syndrome at last check I only had a few cysts on my right ovary. We actually did our first insemination this morning we have 2 more scheduled over the next 2 days so I'm almost in my tww lol I am due to ovulate in 2 days. I'm so nervous and anxious but calm at the same time. Would love to chat more if you're up for it :)

Good luck!!! Cool thing that I found your post--I have PCOS as well. I don't usually have periods on my own---I used too, but since gaining weight, I don't. Anyway, I'm on metformin, but horrible about taking it usually. I actually took my metformin for a few days straight, and added in Vitex for about 4 days--a few days later I got my period---then had lots of cramping a couple of weeks later (im thinking ovulation), and now right on the dot I'm starting my period. I am so excited, so I highly recommend trying Vitex if you have problems ovulating!!!!

Good luck!

My husband and I are doing at home ICI along with regular baby dancing. We've been TTC for 3+ years now and regular sex hasn't cut it for us so we're stepping the game up a notch. I'm on Metformin, D-Chiro-Inositol, and prenatal vitamins. The D-Chiro has been balancing out my hormones and causing me to cycle and ovulate again after years of anovulation. Baby dust your way!
