Hi, how's it going? What day are u on now?
I'm going to start my first round of clomid soon (hopefully -as soon as AF turns up) so am in a similar position, would be interested to hear what it's like and any advice....i have had very little instruction from my Dr,
Are the side effects manageable? Do u take the tablets in the evening? Do u know the reasons why some are advised different days to take it (i'll be 2-6)?
Really best of luck, hope u get good news this month :-)

I am in my TWW after my first round of clomid. after reading other peoples stories, I took clomid at night, about 3 hours before bedtime. the hotflashes were so bad I couldn't sleep. but it beat having them in public or at work! I was crazy moody during the next morning too. I still am having hotflashes occasionally, and I knew for sure when I O'd- it hurt!! as for which days, I have no clue why there are differences. I O'd late on clomid (I took it 3-7 and O'd CD20) but still earlier than I usually O.

Thanks for those tips, definitely sounds like a good call to take them at night then, don't fancy too many side effects at work (just about to start a new job!)

Good luck for your wait, and good news that you could tell for sure you O'd,, finger crossed for u! When will u test?

I'm trying to relax but have a really busy month coming (moving house as well as new job) so timing isn't the most perfect and have never yet been able to tell if/when i ovulate so part of me is wishing AF comes and the rest is crazily dreaming that this long cycle is for another reason.....

I conceived after 3 cycles of clomid. I remember the hot flashes - and I dealt with them at work! It was tricky to explain as I didn't want everyone to know I was TTC! I remember also the cramps when I ovulated when on Clomid! I wonder if that is because of the cysts? Most people without PCOS I've spoken to don't seem to be able to feel it!
I ovulated really really late on clomid. The specialist told be when to take the tablets then said which day I will ovulate. Something like CD14 I think, but I didn't ovulate until CD35!! It is an amazing drug, and well worth going through the side affects if it works for you! :)

Wow congrats ladies, is really good to hear success stories from people in a similar situation, gives me heart!
I am finding it tough to relax and not obsess but struggling at the moment as am surrounded by people who have fallen pregnant 'so easily'

I know what you mean Row. I feel like everyone around me is falling pregnant. I had a mini melt down yesterday and cried to DH that I should be able to look at him and just be pregnant. We have been TTC >12months (although until the last two months, my cycles were 45+ days). Find things to distract you, I try and set things up during the TWW, like ordering packages online or races, or dinner dates with old friends- anything else to look forward to and keep my mind off the TWW. :)

Good advice on the distraction tactic plattis n sorry to hear it all got a bit much the other day- i know exactly what u mean!! I feel bad cos there's no issues with dh at all and really want to give him a family, he'd be a great dad and can't understand why my damn body won't play ball!!
I'm having a tough month as this cycle is particularly confusing - now on cd cd54 after my laparoscopy (for the first time ever in the run up to surgery i had 4 regular cycles!)
I think it must be stress at the mo as have a lot going on-moving house and job so work is mad trying to finish all my stuff while covering others too understated because half the team are on......maternity leave!!
Probably no surprise my cycle is crazy n I'm an emotional wreck i suppose!!!

Wow sorry about the rant- just had to get it out i suppose, will suppose will distract myself with packing now!!

Fx for you and hope u get the best news soon!
