Hi guys

hubby and I have been trying to concieve unsuccessfully for 13 months
I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was younger, and placed on 1000mg of metformin

Cycles have still been very irregular, one going for a whopping 94 days!!!!

Doctor has increased metformin to 1500mg a day and we start 100mg clomid days 2-6 of my next cycle.

Just wanting to hear some of your success stories with clomid, looking for that boost of posotivity, and some hope that it will happen for us.
Also any sort of side affects you all experienced, i have read the leaflet n the box, but i feel its always nicer to hear peoples personal experience.

Thanks so much
Love to you all x :)

I have PCOS too. It took me over 2 years to get pregnant with my first son, but I believe I was on clomid for 3 or 4 cycles. I was on 50mg. The funny thing is, the month I got pregnant I only took half a dose! Make sure to have sex every other day,and around the time you O, try to do it every day for 2 or 3 days.

Tips--I used pre-seed. The first month I tried it, I got pregnant. I "finished" first, and then my hubby did. We baby danced every day for a week or two. Plus, we had gone on a one week vacation to visit family out of state a week or two before, and were relaxed because of that. Oh, and I was also on Metformin too!

Good luck!!!! It can and will happen! :)

I have PCOS (diagnosed at 19) and I do NOT miss those long freaking cycles! Lol
It took over a year to have DD#1 naturally. When we decided to try again, we used Clomid. Because of the length of time to get pregnant with our oldest, my ob just handed me the Clomid. We ttc for... a week. Lol. DD#2 was conceived on our first try.
I got my cycles under control by using bcp for 3 months. I'm at 32 days average now. I'm going with supplements for a few cycles to see if I can avoid a Rx this time.
But, for sure, it works. A little calm and patience can go a long way. :)
