OBGYN/Fertility Specialist?

Postby BFPPlease » Mon Dec 07, 2015 10:17 am

Happy Monday!

So my SO and I moved to a different state mid-October. Before I moved, I saw my general provider who works for an office that also is an OBGYN as well, so she was more open to discussions about PCOS. I have never discussed or had a diagnosis of PCOS officially from my OBGYN, just this doctor. I have never gotten any official testing, except blood work showing I have higher testosterone. She said because of my irregular cycles that I have PCOS, and not even that I have cysts on my ovaries.

My question is now that I am in a new state, do I have to go to a general practitioner or an OBGYN to get officially diagnosed and talk about TTC? I know we are so new, but clearly with no ovulation in over 30 days, I need something to jump start the ovulation.

you can pick a place and have all your info sent over so they can pick up from where she left off, and you might be surprise at the approach this new dr has made. I'm in the same boat I now have to find a specialist in my new state. I just am afraid of the setback myself.

Ugh so frustrating right? I told Stephen we weren't ever allowed to move again! Not only doctor reasons but licenses, registration of our cars, ect.
